Petite Petals & Weekly Deals

This is my swap card that I took to Leadership. I used the new Petite Petals Stamp Set and coordinating punch found in the Occasions Catalog.

I love this set, and almost every set that has a coordinating punch! It makes adding dimension to your projects so easy. I love this color combination too; Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush. It has a little bit of a tropical feel to it. The background words stamped behind the flowers is from the Notable Notes Stamp Set. I stamped it twice, with Sahara Sand. The birthday greeting is from the Hostess Set, Express yourself.

Refreshed & Rejuvenated

Holy cow! I was a bit embarrassed when I finally came to my blog to write a post and saw that the last time I was here was early November! Yikes!

I've just returned from Houston where I attended the Stampin' Up! Leadership Convention. I feel totally refreshed and rejuvenated and ready to get back at it. Keeping up on my blog is one of the goals I have set for myself.

Sweet Angel

Today's project shows how versatile our products are. This sweet little angel was created using the new Gift Bow Bigz L Die found in the Holiday Catalog. This die is designed for making 2 different sized bows, great for your Holiday gift wrapping. The largest bow measures 3-3/4" x 1-3/4".

This little angel measures approximately 4-1/4" x 4". She was created using the parts from the smaller bow. I love how she turned out, and now I want to decorate a whole tree with sweet little angels! I have made several more, using different color combinations. They're kind of addicting!

I'm considering putting together a Step-by-Step Tutorial, and posting it here on my blog. She is really easy to make, once you've seen how to do it. Please leave me a comment here, if you're interested.

One Week Only & Merry Banner

25 Stamp Sets 25% Off One Week Only!

Today's project is my Merry Banner. This was created using the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit. I love the Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit in the Holiday Catalog, but I wanted a banner with traditional red & greens, so I designed my own using the Season of Style Designer Series Paper and various stamps from the Holiday and Annual Catalogs.

The color I chose are Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip. First, using the templates that come in the Banner Kit, and Sponge Daubers, I inked the backgrounds on the canvas banner pieces. Then, using Chocolate Chip ink, I stenciled the letters.

The rosettes were created with 2-1/4" strips of DSP 18" long. You'll need to cut two 12" pieces. Cut the second piece in half. Glue the 12" and one 6" piece together, end to end, creating an 18" strip. Score your strips every 1/2", accordion fold, and assemble your rosette. Decorate with your favorite stamps, embellishments, and ribbons and you're done!

Here is a close up of some of the detail. Notice the Red Rhinestone. Did you know that you can color your Basic Rhinestones and Pearls to coordinate with any project color? Using a Sharpie Marker, color your rhinestones or pearls before you adhere it to your project, let dry and viola! Beautiful color coordinating bling!
