I have been stamping & cutting cardstock like crazy getting ready for my Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack this Sunday, but yesterday, my floral design skills took over. I had an idea that I'd been wanting to try and decided to take a little break. I was a floral designer for JoAnn's for several years. I worked at one of the first etc. Stores as the Floral Department Specialist. Flowers and stamping are my passions. I don't do as much floral work now, but once in a while I just have to get my glue gun & wire cutters out.
I wanted to make something to coordinate with my candlesticks that I decorated. This is a wooden pumpkin that I had in my fall decorations. I simply added some fall flowers, berries & twigs. Normally when doing a floral arrangement, I would just use silk leaves, but I wanted to make this a Stampin' Up! project, so I cut some leaves with my Big Shot and the Leaves #2 Die, texturized some of them with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and some of them with one of the Texture Plates from Kit #4.
I love the way it turned out and can't wait to put this on my Thanksgiving table.
Here is a close up of some of the leaves~
Here is a better picture of just the pumpkin. It was hard to get a good picture.
Back to preparing for my class. Hope you're having a great week. Thanks for stopping by!
