12 Weeks of Christmas

Week #1 of my 12 Weeks of Christmas! Yep, believe it or not, there's only 12 weeks until Christmas. The time is really going to fly by I'm sure! To help you with your Holiday cards and treats, I've decided to share with you a project a week until Christmas.

Today's project is a great card to help use up some of those scraps that you may have laying around. Honestly, they don't even really have to be holiday paper. Almost anything will do! This is a pretty quick card, and could be a fun project to do with your kids or grand kids.

With each weekly project, I will also be sharing a link to a pdf with the supply list and instructions so if you see something you'd like to make, you can easily print it out, or save it for later. Here's your LINK for today.

Ribbon-Spools
Also, just a reminder that there are only a couple more days to get Free Ribbon with a $40 order. Visit my website for all those details.

I'm having some technical difficulties. If you would like a copy of the pdf, leave me a comment with an email. I'll have to send this one to you. Sorry, and hopefully I'll get this figured out by next week. Thanks for your patience.

Joy

Oh my goodness, I've found another project that is going to be an addiction. I'm loving these 6x6 canvases! Here is one I created using the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I started with a black canvas. The base of my project is the Flocked Window Sheet. I really like the way it looks layered over the black canvas. Since the adhesive would show through the window sheet, I only applied my Sticky Strip behind the patterned paper. The window sheet is loose at the top and the bottom, but by using Sticky Strip, and tying the 1/2" Old Olive Scallop Dotted Ribbon all the way around the canvas, I don't think it's going anywhere.

I will be teaching this 6x6 canvas class in December. You will have the choice of either the Hope canvas or the Joy canvas. Check my website for all of the details.

Hope

Yep, I'm still here! Just a lot going on. Family stuff and stamping stuff! I've been busy in the studio planning and preparing for special events and my regular classes.

I'm so excited for our Holiday Hoopla this Sunday. It's going to be a blast. My Team & I have planned a super fun day of stamping fun and inspiration. I've also been planning a Christmas Card Buffet and a Vendor Fair in October, my Bags & Tags class and a huge craft fair in November, and another craft fair in December. It's great to be busy!

Here is one of the projects that I created while mia. This is one on my favorites. I'm making these in a variety of designs to sell at the Hoosier Artisan Boutique craft fair I'll be attending in November.

This is a 6x6 canvas covered with First Edition Designer Series Paper. This paper was a little brighter than I wanted for this project, so I distressed it by sponging it with a variety of inks. I cut the heart with the Hearts Collection Framelits. We don't have a template to pierce the holes for this size heart, so I used my Paper Piercing Tool and punched the holes free-hand. Then I drew the faux-stitching with the Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker, and sponged the edges. I wanted the stamped design to be bold, so I stamped the swirl design from Elements of Style with Jet Black Stazon Ink. The letters were cut with the Big Shot and the new Typeset Alphabet. The brads are from the Antique Brad Collection, and are wrapped with Linen Thread. I love the way this turned out. I hope the people shopping the craft fair like it too!

Now, down to some business. During the month of September, when you place an order for $40, you can get FREE Ribbon! Click on the flyer to go to my website to see all the details ~
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
