Last Minute Reminder

We had our first class at the new location yesterday, and it was great! I can't believe I forgot my camera. Fortunately, one of my ladies had hers and did take some pictures. I will share them with you later.

Today I did want to remind you that this is the last day we can order from the Occasions Mini Catalog. There are some really cute things in there, so if you want anything, just send me an email and I will get your order placed before the deadline. It is also the last day of the Fresh Cuts promotion. Both the mini catalog and the Fresh Cuts promotion can be seen on the Stampin' Up! website. www.stampinup.com.

On a personal note, I am happy to say that I started back to Jazzercise today. It's my mid-year resolution! I have a milestone birthday coming up, not this July, but next year, and I'm going to be ready for it. Have you seen the advertisements for the show "She's Got The Look", well...watch out! HA! It felt great to be exercising again! I used to go 3-4 times a week, and then with my work schedule it became difficult to get there. At least that's the excuse I always used. I haven't gone on a consistent basis for about 5 years. Time sure flies!

Speaking of time flying, don't forget about the retiring list of stamp sets, they will be gone before we know it! Remember that I am offering a 10% discount on any retiring set ordered through July. This is my personal discount, and not offered through Stampin' Up!

Through Stampin' Up! I accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

Hope you all have a great Monday!

Summer by the Sea

We had our quarterly Stampin' Up! meeting this morning. It is always so much fun and full of inspiration. We did a swap where each person designed one card and prepared enough kits for everyone else to make it. This is such a great way to swap. We actually get to stamp, visit with friends, and we all went home with 12 completed cards to add to our samples. It was hard to decide which card to share with you. They were all so cute. This card was designed by Michelle. We had the choice of Pretty in Pink or Bashful Blue with Chocolate Chip. I love these colors, and this is one of my favorite stamp sets. The background looks like printed paper, but it is actually the Paisley Background stamp stamped in Chocolate Chip on Chocolate Chip cardstock. She also showed us a fun technique with our ribbon. This is the Pink Taffeta Ribbon with the Chocolate Chip Poly Twill Ribbon layered on top! Thanks Michelle for this great idea. We stamped the image with Stazon and used the Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Blender Pens to color it in.
My grand daughters are still here, the sun is shining at the moment, so I think we'll go outside to play for a while before the rain moves in again. Have a great weekend!

Close as a Memory

What a busy week! I can't believe it's Friday already. I was pretty busy yesterday designing my swap for our quarterly Stampin' Up! meeting Saturday morning, and preparing for my class on Sunday. I made this sympathy card a few weeks ago for a friend who lost her mother, and was pleased with the way it turned out. I needed to come up with a card using a stamp set that is not being retired, and this one came to mind. Sad to say, I have 25 sets that are retiring and will not be in the new 2008 Idea Book & Catalog. That just means that there will be at least that many new way too cute sets that I'll think I have to have. I am always anxious with each new release to see the new catalog and what new products Stampin' Up! has for us.

I still have a lot of work to do, and we are having a pizza party and sleep-over with both Lily and Makayla tonight, so I need to get busy. Maybe I should try to work in a nap. HA!

I still have room in class, and class kits if you are interested. Let me know!

June Class Sneak Peek

I am very excited about my June 29 class. It will be the first class in the new location. I have chosen a really fun project. Here is just a little peek of what we will be making. It is a "Purse Album" using the Carousel Notes, and the Afternoon Tea Designer Series Papers. I still have a couple of spaces, so if you are interested in joining us just send me an email. I only have a couple of more days until class, so I'd better get busy putting everything together. It's suppose to rain today, so it will be a perfect day to spend time in my studio.

I received my Decor Elements order yesterday--check back tomorrow to see what I've done!

Sneak Peek Fresh Cuts

Today I have a couple of samples to show you. The first card was made using the new Fresh Cuts stamp set and coordinating *Fresh Cut Notes. These 4x4 note cards are die-cut and ready to stamp & embellish. Both of these products will be included in the New Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book & Catalog coming in August.
The second card was made by stamping the image on our Watercolor Paper with Black Stazon Ink. Then I used the Aqua Painters with my ink pads to create the watercolor look. I love the way you can blend the colors using this technique.

Carousel Note Card

Now that the wedding is over, and things have settled down a bit I have time to share another card with you. This one is made using the Carousel Notes found in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I cut the scalloped circle in half and used it to create the front flap of the card. The butterfly was made using a flower and a half pearl from the Pretties Kit.
There are only a few more days to order from the Occasions mini. I'm hoping that Stampin' Up! will add the Carousel Notes to the new 2008 Idea Book & Catalog, but we won't know for sure until Convention. And, just a reminder to check your wishlist and the retiring list to make sure you get your favorite stamp sets before they are gone! Remember, I am offering 10% off any retiring set that you order. Contact me at DeeLeeD@aol.com to place your order. Thanks!

The Wedding

Here's a picture of the happy couple. Everyone's prayers for no rain must have worked, because we were blessed with an absolutely beautiful day! The ceremony was lovely. The outdoor setting was stunning, and when the harpist started playing, I don't think there was a dry eye to be found. Just as the minister asked Jeremy & Heather to take each others hands, the sun began to shine even more brilliantly than it already was.
God was definitely smiling on us.

Rehearsal Dinner

Here are a couple of pictures from the rehearsal dinner last night. These are my kids and my grand daughters. Jeremy is the tall one who is getting married today, and Andy & Casey. My two grand daughters, Lily 9, and Makayla 4-1/2. The weather looks pretty good until a possibility of rain later this evening. The ceremony is at 4:30, so let's hope it holds off until after. I hope you all enjoy your weekend. I know I will.

Busy Weekend

Today is going to be a busy day. My son Jeremy is getting married tomorrow. We have a few last minute things to finish up today, and the rehearsal and dinner are tonight. The ceremony will take place outdoors at my brother-in-laws house. He lives on White River, and the setting is absolutely beautiful. My daughter had her reception there last July, and the pictures were gorgeous. After tomorrow, all 3 of my children will be married. It's another beautiful day here...pray for no rain tomorrow.

Tart & Tangy Card

This card was made using the Tart & Tangy set from the Occassions Mini Collection. I hope they add this set the the new Winter 2008 Idea Book and Catalog. I think it is just too cute. I colored directly on the image with two coordinating colors of the Stampin' Write Markers to create a two-tone effect.

My Stamp Studio

Today I thought I would show you my stamp studio. I am fortunate to have an entire room devoted to my stamping addiction. I'm not sure my husband thinks that is such a good thing. I spend a lot of time in here and love the view of the back yard from the window. I hope you all enjoy your Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day

Here's the Father's Day card that I made for both my father and my father-in-law. I actually made a card without flowers! It's pretty simple, but I think they will like it.
I'm going to see my dad this morning, then it's off to the in-laws. It's a lovely day today. We're going to cook out and make home made ice cream.

I'm Blogging!

Hello There!
I'm posting my first entry on my new blog. I am embarking on a new adventure and would like to welcome all who would like to join me. I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, and enjoy teaching rubberstamping and scrapbooking classes. This is a very exciting day for me. I just started setting up my new classroom earlier today. We moved the tables, card racks, and a few other classroom supplies. We have just 2 weeks to get everything ready. I can't wait for my first class in the new location. Check back soon to see some of my projects and card samples.
Until next time!
