Share Your Passion

Almost two months, but here I am finally posting to my blog again!

Stampin' Up! has been the best thing that I have ever done for myself personally. I am really a fairly shy person, but when it come to sharing Stampin' Up! something explodes inside me, and I can talk about it with just about anyone, forever! Honestly, I'm sure some people probably get tired of hearing about it!

When I was young, I always dreamed of being a Teacher. Funny thing, I never really "liked" school. In many ways, through Stampin' Up! I am fulfilling that dream. I am teaching others how to find the creativity within themselves. I can't express how gratifying it is to see the smiles, and hear the squeals and oohs and aahs, when someone realizes how easy it is to create with Stampin' Up! I have a lovely, talented Team that I truly enjoy mentoring and sharing my passion of stamping. As a team, we learn from each other and share what we learn with others.

Here's my card for today. This uses a lot of new products!

The patterned paper is from one of my favorite items; Designer Series Paper Packs. This one is called Moonlight. They come with 48 sheets of double-sided paper, 4-1/2" x 6-1/2", the perfect size for card making and scrapbooking. The card stock colors are Lost Lagoon, and Basic Grey. The flowers were stamped with Hello Honey and punched out with the Petite Petal Punch. I love the coordinating stamps and punches!

Here is a project I created back in 2009. These products have retired, but I can still "Live With Passion".

To Laugh or to Cry?

Holy cow! This is one big stack of retiring stamp sets I just pulled from my shelves! I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I laugh, because every year I tell myself that I'm not going to buy everything. As you can see that didn't work out well! I cry, because there are some really great sets here that I've grown to love. But then, all I have to do is think about the new catalog coming soon, and all the awesome new stamps and accessories I'm soon to fall in love with!

It's about spending more time making memories, and less time scrapbooking them. I am so totally looking forward to this. With 5 grand babies, and 2 more on the way, I have fallen so far behind. I do have a project to share with you today. Here is one of the Easter cards that I'm sending out. I almost forgot to take pictures, before putting them in the mail!

For this card, I used the Blessed Easter stamp. A single stamp available in the Occasions Catalog. Being a single stamp, it is wood mount only. A fellow Demonstrator recommended cutting the words off and making this a 2-stamp set. This way, you can use the tulips for any occasion! I stamped the image with Jet Black Stazon Ink, and used my Blender Pen and ink pads to color the tulips.

The last day to order products from the Occasions Catalog is Sunday, June 1. Be sure to check out all of the great products featured there, and get those that are on your wish list before they're gone!

Time to Say Good-Bye!

No, I'm not going anywhere, although I'll bet you thought I had already left. My apologies! I have neglected my poor blog, so I'm setting a goal for myself to post at least twice a week. This is a very busy time of year with Stampin' Up!, and I really want to keep you up to date with any exciting news.

So, who is saying good-bye? Well, it's that time of year again to say good-bye to some old friends (stamp sets & accessories), to make room to welcome in some new friends. One week from today, Monday, April 21, Stampin' Up! will release the list of Retiring Stamp Sets & Accessories.

How would you like the chance to win a FREE stamp set? Grab your 2013-2014 Annual Catalog and make your best guess at which sets you think will be retiring. Email me a list of your top 10 choices by Sunday, April 20. When the list is released on Monday, I'll check all of the entries, and the person who has chosen the most correct stamp sets will get to select a FREE Retiring Stamp Set from the selection of my personal stamp sets that appear on the list. Petite Petals & Weekly Deals

This is my swap card that I took to Leadership. I used the new Petite Petals Stamp Set and coordinating punch found in the Occasions Catalog.

I love this set, and almost every set that has a coordinating punch! It makes adding dimension to your projects so easy. I love this color combination too; Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush. It has a little bit of a tropical feel to it. The background words stamped behind the flowers is from the Notable Notes Stamp Set. I stamped it twice, with Sahara Sand. The birthday greeting is from the Hostess Set, Express yourself.

Refreshed & Rejuvenated

Holy cow! I was a bit embarrassed when I finally came to my blog to write a post and saw that the last time I was here was early November! Yikes!

I've just returned from Houston where I attended the Stampin' Up! Leadership Convention. I feel totally refreshed and rejuvenated and ready to get back at it. Keeping up on my blog is one of the goals I have set for myself.

Leadership was amazing, as is any event with Stampin' Up! There are so many things I want to share, but I'll take it slow. One very exciting promotion involves My Paper Pumpkin. SU has listened to the concerns of both Demonstrators and current subscribers of My Paper Pumpkin, and has really amped up the upcoming kits. We got a sneak peek of January, February, and March.
