Thanks a Latte

The Stampin' Up! year is coming to a close, and I want to thank each and every one of you for supporting me and helping me achieve my biggest goal this year! You are amazing!

I grabbed this card sample from Stampin' Up! It's perfect for today's post. Not only does it express-o lol how I feel, it's a great card to demonstrate how to use Designer Series Paper (dsp) on a card, and features the Coffee Cafe stamp set. I say this, because starting on Sunday, October 1 through October 15, we are having a Sale! Select dsp will be Buy 3 Get One Free, and Select Coordinating Stamp Sets and Note Cards & Envelopes will be 15% off! Fast Fuse will also be Get 2 Free Refills with purchase! This is an amazing sale. The dsp will continue to be on sale through the end of October.

This would be a great time to gather with friends and do a paper share. You could each then have a sampling of 4 (or more!) different packs of dsp to get creative with. So many possibilities!

We will be using some of the Designer Series Papers that are included in the sale in my Quick & Cute class on Monday, October 2. I still have a couple of seats. You can see all my classes and events on my website, and rsvp from there, if you'd like to join us!

All of the details of this incredible sale will post to my website on Sunday, October 1. www.debbied.stampinup.net

If you have any questions, please contact me. I will be happy to help.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Sheltering Tree

I love how you can pull stamp sets from the Annual Catalog and create projects for so many different occasions. I created this Fall themed card using nothing really fall related.

Choosing fall colors, really made this card come together. I used Crushed Curry for the base, a layer of Early Espresso, and a layer of Crumb Cake, stamped with the Burlap Background. I cut the Oak Leaf image out of the Crumb Cake layer, cut another one from Cajun Craze, and embossed it with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

I stamped the tree from Sheltering Tree with Early Espresso Ink on Very Vanilla, and positioned it to show through the leaf cut-out. Tied some Linen Thread around the leaf, and adhered it with Dimensionals. I finished my card by adding the sentiment from Sheltering Tree.

If you like this card, and would like to learn how to make it, we'll be making it in my next Quick & Cute Class on Monday, October 2nd. Visit my website to sign up and see all the details for all my classes and events.

Guy Greetings

I have to remind myself to create masculine cards along with all the beautiful frills and florals. It really is super easy with this set; Guy Greetings!

I love the classic car, the hats, the shoes, well, all of it! This is one of those sets that you can grab and create your card or project using just one set. I also love how well it pairs with the Sparkle Embossing Folder too. It looks like pressed metal. Very masculine, and not sparkly at all!

We created this card in my Quick & Cute card class this month. We make 5 cards each month, and when I remember, I include a masculine card in the mix! If you would like more information about my monthly class, or ordering any of the products seen here, visit my website at www.debbied.stampinup.net

Stampin' Up! Blog Hop ~ Anything But the Holidays with Holiday Products

I have joined a Blog Hop! That means you can "hop" around from my blog to other Demonstrator's blogs to see what projects they have to share. We were challenged to use new products from the Holiday Catalog to create projects for Anything But the Holidays!

I created a wedding card using the Labels to Love stamp set and the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I did have to get a little creative with this and only inked up the word celebrate, and the word love from these two stamps from the Labels to Love set. I cut the swirl from the new Champagne Foil Sheets, and added a couple Metallic Enamel Dots to finish it off.

You can find these products in the Annual Catalog, and in the new Holiday Catalog. If you haven't received your copy yet, let me know. I'll get one to you right away. Until then, you can see it on my website ~ www.debbied.stampinup.net.

Thanks for stopping by & have fun hopping!

Musical Season

It was love at first sight when I saw the Musical Season Stamp Set in the Holiday Catalog! I love everything about this set. Plus, you can purchase the coordinating Musical Instrument Framelits with the set in a bundle and save 10%!

For this card, I've used the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper pack is all black & white, and all music related. It is a little lighter weight than our other dsp, so it doesn't add a lot of bulk to your projects. You get 24 sheets in a package; 4 each of 6 double-sided designs. This was a "must have" on my pre-order list!

Here is a close up showing the detail of the card. I added a little ink splatter using my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, added Silver Thread, and White Baker's Twine, a couple of Pearls, and Mini Dimensionals to pop up the silhouette of the Little Drummer Boy.

You can see this sample, and many more when you join me for my Holiday Open House, Sunday, August 27, from 1pm-3pm. I will have a free Make & Take, food, and you'll want to be sure to pick up your copy of the new Holiday Catalog. Hope to see you here!

Seasonal Chums

These little characters in the Seasonal Chums Stamp Set are too adorable! Here I've created a Halloween Treat, and two simple Christmas tags. I've also created a video ~ my second ~ showing you how easy it is to make these.

The video is posted on my Business Facebook page. Click HERE to view it. I'm having difficulties with my YouTube channel. Hopefully I can get all this technical stuff figured out soon, and post all my videos to YouTube.

Home Life

For today's project, I decided to use a set that I think may get skipped right over in the Annual Catalog. Home Life, on page 148. It takes up the entire page, and may seem a bit overwhelming at first, but it's really adorable!

This is a Two-Step set, and is kind of amazing when it all comes together. The stamps are numbered, so you know exactly what order to stamp them in. How great is that! It's also Photopolymer, so you can see exactly where you are stamping.

It has coordinating Framelits Dies so you can easily cut out the house, banner and flowers. Another great thing about this set ~ you can add dimension by using the coordinating framelit to cut out all those little flowers at once! The new Mini Dimensionals are the perfect size to pop them on.
Here is a close up.

This set is very versatile too. You can welcome newcomers to the neighborhood, congratulate someone on their new home, or congratulate new parents on the arrival of their new little one. I can see this set being a go to set in my studio. How about you?

You Are Remarkable!

This is my favorite card from my class today. I have had my eye on this set ~ Remarkable You ~ for a long time. When I earned some freebies ~ one of the awesome perks of being a Demonstrator ~ I decided to get it. I love the boldness of the large flower images! I'm also loving this color combination ~ Berry Burst, Marina Mist, and Wild Wasabi.

This set would be great for the Water Color Technique, or using Blender Pens and Ink to add a splash of color. Not a fan of coloring? No problem! I used the swishes from the Work of Art set to fill in the flower and stem. No water coloring necessary!

If you like this card, I would love to have you join me for my Quick & Cute class. This class is held the first Monday of each month. The first session is from 11am to 1pm, and the evening session runs from 6pm to 8pm. September is a little different with Labor Day being on the first Monday. Classes will be held on Monday, September 11. You can find out all the details, and register for the September class at www.debbied.stampinup.net.

Hope to see you here in September!

More Traditional Carols of Christmas

For a more traditional look, I chose Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke for this card. I love the versatility of this set. By choosing different colors, you can create so many different variations with the two different sayings and accessories that come in this set.

To get the two colors for the saying, I stamped direct to the paper with Always Artichoke, and then again on a scrap of Whisper White with Cherry Cobbler. I used the Classic Label Punch to punch out the word "the" and used the new Mini Dimensionals to pop it up! Have you seen these in the new catalog? You've got to check them out! They are perfect for adding so many of the smaller elements to your projects. No more cutting the regular ones in half!

Notice the decorative edge? That was created using the Card Front Builder Dies. These edges are such a fun way to add interest to any card, and so easy to use! And so versatile! They're not just for Christmas. They can be used for almost any occasion!

This set; Carols of Christmas is available now, as an Early Release, before the Holiday Catalog goes live on September 1, 2017. Get yours now, along with the coordinating Card Front Builder Thinlit Dies, save 10%, and start your Christmas card creating early!

Non-Traditional Carols of Christmas

There are so many things I love about this new bundle; Carols of Christmas. First of all, you can get it now, and start your Christmas card making early. How great is that! And, that little deer ~ so cute! For my first project using this set, I decided to go non-traditional. I must say, I love how it turned out.

I used Soft Suede and Powder Pink. Love this combo! The background is stamped with the new Sheet Music Background stamp, and I had to add a touch of glitz with my Wink of Stella to the tree.

These items are available now during the Early Release. Save 10% when you purchase the Bundle which includes the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set and coordinating Card Front Thinlits. You can see the complete set and thinlits on my website at www.debbied.stampinup.net.
