All About Inks

Using the right ink for your project is an important part of creating a successful stamping experience. Did you even realize there were so many ink choices? Here are the basic inks you'll find in our catalog. Let's discuss which one is best for which project.

#1 ~ Classic Stampin' Pad
These are the core of all of your stamping projects. They come in all 40 of our basic colors, plus the 10 In-Colors. These are water-based inks, quick drying, and are super easy to use. They clean up easily with water and the Simply Shammy, or Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and a Stampin' Scrub.

#2 ~ Memento Tuxedo Black
This is my "go to" black ink. This is the perfect ink for that sentiment that you want to stand out, and a must when coloring images with the Stampin' Blends. Memento cleans up easily with water and the Simply Shammy, or Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and a Stampin' Scrub.

#3 ~ Stazon Jet Black
This is a permanent ink, great for stamping on a variety of surfaces; paper, tiles, wood, glass, plastics, like our Window Sheets, and more! Use Stazon to stamp images when you want to water-color or use the new Water Painters. Stazon Cleaner is recommended for cleaning your cling stamps, then a quick rinse with water to protect the adhesive on the label.

#4 ~ VersaMark
Create tone-on-tone or watermark effects with this versatile ink. Stamp with VersaMark on cardstock to create subtle backgrounds. Use it with the Heat Tool and Embossing Powder to create beautifully shiny images. Stamp, sprinkle on the embossing powder, heat, done! Cleans up best with Stampin' Mist and a Stampin' Scrub.

#5 ~ Stampin' Spots
Classic Stampin' Ink in a smaller size. Great for stamping with the Stamparatus, or packing up while traveling. These adorable ink spots are the perfect way to start your ink collection. These felt ink pads come as set of 8 in a variety of classic colors. Check them out on page 147!

Now that you know which ink is the best for your project, grab something and stamp it!

Arrange a Wreath Bundle

The Arrange a Wreath Bundle is so versatile! Versatility is something I look for when purchasing stamp sets, and this one can be used all year round, so it definitely made my "must have" list!

My second passion is floral design, and creating beautiful wreaths with this set is just as fun as making a real one. Here is a spring/summer wreath using both die cut wreath images, and the sweet little flower.

Here is a close up of the detail on the two-tone flowers. This is such a fun technique, and adds so much to this card. Ink up the flower with the lightest color. Petal Pink was used here. Then using a Sponge Dauber, dab just a little of the darker color around the edges. I used Flirty Flamingo, one of my favorite colors. I really love this combination, and can't wait to try more. The possibilities are endless!

This bundle can be found on page 127 of the Annual Catalog. Remember, you always save 10% when you purchase a bundle. And, right now, during Bonus Days, when you purchase this bundle, you'll earn a $5.00 Bonus Days Coupon to redeem in August.

In addition to that, July is my birthday month, and I have a special offer for you. Starting today for the rest of the month, I'm offering Free Shipping! You must contact me to place your order. This is my personal special, and not available through Stampin' Up! and my online store.

Get your bundle now, and start arranging your own beautiful wreaths!

Comfort & Hope Meets Lovely You

I love combining stamp sets to create beautiful floral designs! This card was created using the Comfort & Hope and Lovely You stamp sets. The grid background image from Comfort & Hope works really well with the sweet elegant florals of Lovely You.

Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party are the perfect color combination, with just a hint of Bumblebee. There are no embellishments on this card. Just the stamped rhinestones from the Comfort & Hope stamp set. I think that tiny little stamp is one of my most favorite in the entire catalog. They look so real! You can add rhinestones in any color to any project!

What stamp sets do you own that you like to use together? Leave me a comment, I'd love to know. If I have them, maybe I'll create a card with your favorites.
