I just Love these Petite Purses! They are a bit addicting though, so I'm warning you now. This new Big Shot Die made it's debut earlier along with the Summer Smooches Suite. I had it forever before I actually opened it and started playing with it. Now, I can't stop! Here are just a couple of samples of what you can create. The possibilities are endless!
This die works great with either card stock or Designer Series Paper. I have used both. The DSP is cute enough itself, but I had to add a little scallop to dress it up. I'm working on a step-by-step picture tutorial showing how I add the scallop that I will post very soon. It's so simple, I'm sure you could probably figure it out on your own!
To add a little texture to the card stock purse, I used the new Delicate Designs Embossing Folder. Another new product that I have fallen in Love with! Pretty much, if you can use it with the Big Shot, I Love It!
These little purses are great for holding a couple of Hershey Nuggets, a small jewelry gift, money, or can you imagine them cut from Christmas paper hanging on your tree ~ adorable!
Stay tuned for my tutorial & thanks so much for stopping by ~

Uninvited Guest
I wasn't sure if this card was going to get finished or not. I had an uninvited guest yesterday while working on it that abruptly halted all work in the studio. As I sit at my table stamping away, a huge spider crawled right across the card I was working on! Yikes ~ I don't use the word "hate" often, but I hate spiders! I was bare foot, and felt totally defenseless. The only weapons I had were my stamping tools and I couldn't possibly use those to kill the thing. Get spider guts on my stamping stuff? Ewww ~ no way. Plus, that thing moved way too fast. I did spritz him once with my Stampin' Mist, and that seemed to slow him down a bit, but I still couldn't find anything to squish him with! I hurried and tried to finish my card, but he kept appearing out of no where ~ crawling on my paper rack, then on the table again, on the wall and then on the shelf with my stamps! I just couldn't stand it, I had to get out of there. I went back in later in the evening with shoes on, armed with bug spray, but he was no where to be seen. I sprayed around my table a bit with the hopes that I may just get him where ever he may be hiding.
I mustered up enough courage this morning to get back in the studio to finish my card. With my bug spray by my side, I got it done in record time!
I used the Reason to Smile stamp set. During the month of July, when you purchase $50 of any Stampin' Up! product, you can add this exclusive set to your order for just $5.00! I used the New In-Colors Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit for the flowers. The sentiment is from Curly Cute.

Elegant Butterflies
Butterflies, butterflies, butterflies! I saw a card similar to this and thought it was the perfect card to incorporate the new Elegant Butterfly Punch. This new punch coordinates with the new stamp set, Papillon Potpourri. I've also paired it up with the butterflies from the stamp set Kindness Matters.
I used Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, both new In-Colors, and Rose Red for the color scheme. The patterned paper is from the Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper Pack. These packs are a great way to get patterned papers in all the colors of one collection. You get 40 sheets, 2 each of 2 double-sided designs in each of the 10 colors.
To add a bit of texture, I embossed a panel of Primrose Petals Card Stock using my Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. After stamping the Butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and punching it out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch, I adhered it to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional. For a finishing touch, I added a Basic Rhinestone to the butterfly.
If you would like to order the products to make this card, contact me or visit my website and place your order directly from my online store!

Polka Dot Blossom
I am in Love with the New Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper! It is double sided, and comes in 6 vibrant colors. These are great to use to coordinate with several other paper sets.
For this card, I layered the Rich Razzleberry Polka Dots on a Whisper White Card Stock base. Then I used another white layer which I ran through my Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder. Before adhering the embossed layer, I punched out the flower shape with the Blossom Punch. This technique gives an optical illusion effect. Until you look closely, or touch it, it looks like the Polka Dot Flower is on top of the white embossed piece.
For the flower center, I layered two Rich Razzleberry Buttons, tied them together with White Bakers Twine and adhered them onto the card with mini glue dots. Pretty simple, but pretty cute I think.
It's good to be back in the swing of things!
Hope you have a great day & thanks for stopping by ~

Field Flowers
Oh my, I hope you haven't given up on me. I'm still here, just unable to spend much time in the studio these days. I am hoping that is all changing and I'll get back to a regular posting schedule.
So much going on. The New Annual Catalog was released on June 1. It is amazing ~ as usual! I know I say it every year, but Stampin' Up! has outdone themselves again. I for one am loving the new layout. Then there's the new products ~ Totally Awesome. No need to make a wish list, I want it all! The New In-Colors are scrumptious. Perfectly bright colors great for the summer and elegant enough for transforming into fall & the holidays. Speaking of scrumptious, wait until you try the newly designed ink pads. They are no longer felt, they are now Firm Foam. The Firm Foam releases more ink onto your rubber stamp, and stamps all your images beautifully. The new Designer Series Paper is gorgeous. There's something for everyone, and something for every occasion. And the new ribbons are fun too ~ Love the Stitched Satin and Grosgrain.
Today's project is one of the cards we did at my last class. I hosted a Card Buffet. I got the idea from a fellow demonstrator, and decided to try it with my customers. I designed several cards, and much like a food buffet, they got to "pick & choose" which cards they wanted to make. They each got to make 12 cards. It was a huge success, so I'm already planning my Christmas Card Buffet.
This card features the stamp set Field Flowers, and Designer Series Paper First Edition. This is a 2-step stamp set, which means you stamp with multiple colors & stamps to create one image. I stamped the stem first using Always Artichoke Classic Ink. For the flower I used Calypso Coral first, then stamped the outline with Cajun Craze. I love the look of stamping on printed paper, especially the words. I sponged the edges of the DSP with Always Artichoke to give it an aged look. The little butterfly was cut with my Big Shot and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.
If you don't have a new catalog yet, let me know, and I'll get one to you right away.
