Valentine Friend

Here is another card that we did in class Sunday. I tried to keep things fairly simple so no one would feel stressed about getting everything done, since we were doing so many cards this time. We used the Specialty Designer Series Paper Sending Love from the Occasions Mini. The Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip & Very Vanilla color combination is just yummy! This pattern has just a touch of sparkle. Each sheet shines with glittery designs on one side. The friend heart is from the I {Heart} Hearts Stamp Set*, and was punched out with the Full Heart Punch. I Love the way it leaves a perfect border around the heart. And, of course, I had to add the new Small Heart Punch with a Stampin' Dimensional, and a strip of Pink Grosgrain Ribbon.

Have you ever thought about becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator? Have you ever thought about meeting Cofounder and CEO Shelli Gardner? How about attending a workshop Demonstrated by Shelli?

Shelli issued a Recruiting Challenge to all Demonstrators at Leadership, and the reward for the highest recruiters in certain categories is that she will come to our house and present a workshop for our guests! She will also come to a Demonstrator event we plan for the same day!

During Sale-a-Bration has always been a great time to sign up! You already get:

  • 15% off the price of the Starter Kit (Standard or Digital +)
  • any stamp set of your choice (up to $47.95) FREE
  • and of course, you would be a member of my Team and receive all of the perks and training that I offer as being a part of my group

If you would like to learn about becoming a Demonstrator, I'd love to talk with you.

We only have 1 week left for our challenge. If you're on the fence, give me a call today so I can answer any questions you may have. I'd love to have you on my Team!

Thanks for visiting!

I {Love} Love

We had a blast yesterday at my Very Valentine Class. Not only did we get to do a ton of stamping, we got to enjoy part of the Colts game as well. How exciting that they are heading to Miami for a second Super Bowl! And, it just so happens, that I will be in Florida that weekend with my 3 sisters. We won't be going to the Super Bowl, but hopefully I can talk them in to at least watching it.

Back to stamping stuff...
My class was designed with the intent of getting all of your Valentines done and ready to go well before Valentine's Day, and I think we did! I designed 4 cards, and everyone got to make 3 each of the 4 designs. Then we made 2 each of 2 little favors. After I did the 4 cards, I realized that I hadn't used the I {Love} Love Wheel that I had purchased purposely for this class, so I did a bonus card. I'm glad I did! I {Love} it!

This is Melon Mambo & Whisper White Cardstock. I used an Uninked Jumbo Cartridge & my Melon Mambo Re-Inker to create the cartridge in the color that I wanted. I wheeled a whole sheet of Whisper White using my Stampin' Around Wheel Guide to keep it nice and straight, and then cut it in quarters to use for the background. The hearts are all from the I {Heart} Hearts Set*. The polka dot outline heart is hand cut and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. The set of 3 hearts on top is actually one stamp that coordinates with the Heart to Heart Punch. Stamp once, Punch once & they're all done! The small Love heart coordinates with the new Small Heart Punch. I Love this punch, it's just so cute! You'll see we used it on almost every card!

Milk Carton Bird House

Is this not the cutest little bird house? This is actually the new Bigz L Milk Carton Die, to use with the Big Shot. I just Love it! You can use this for a little treat box for any occasion. Without the roof, it looks just like a miniature milk carton. Or, add the roof, and make these adorable little bird houses. Notice the scallop edge on the roof. This is the Scallop Trim Border Punch. This is one of the Sale-a-Bration items you could earn FREE right now with a $50 order! This is the first time SU has offered a punch as one of the SAB items. It coordinates with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch in the Occasions Mini. I Love the dainty look of this punch!

Of course, I had to use the new Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch again too. You will be seeing him a lot, I just can't get enough of him. He's also a great way to use scraps of Designer Series Paper or cardstock. I used the new Sweet Pea DSP from the Occasions Mini, along with Pretty in Pink and Old Olive cardstock. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop him off the birdhouse, and on the front wing to add more dimension. The flower was punched out with the Trio Flower Punch and I added a Bashful Blue Brad for the center.

Sale-a-Bration is in full swing! Remember, you can order directly from my website, at your convenience, from the comfort of your own home, anytime 24/7. Don't forget to add your FREE SAB choice when placing your order!

Vintage Vogue With Beautiful Wings

I have to tell you that I am absolutely loving the New Clear Mount Block and new stamp sets! This is the floral swirl image from the New Vintage Vogue Stamp Set. By mounting your rubber stamp on the clear block, you can see exactly where to stamp. I was able to stamp this image three times in a row without the aid of my Stamp-a-ma-jig.

The stamps themselves are still the same high-quality rubber and foam of the wood mount stamps, and come die cut, with labels, ready to assemble. These sets come in a handy storage case resembling a DVD case. All the images are shown on the front of the case, and the spine is labeled as well, with the stamp set name and thumbnail images making it so easy to find exactly what you're looking for! You can also order additional empty cases, 4 for only $4.95. These would be great for storing all kinds stamping & scrapping supplies.

The butterflies on my card were made using the New Embosslit Die Beautiful Wings. These are great too! They not only cut out the image, they emboss it at the same time! This one comes with 4 butterflies on one die. What a great deal. Since I used the Designer Series Paper Razzleberry Lemonade, you can't see the embossing very well, but if you use a solid color, it looks great. I was also able to line up my sentiment perfectly using a Clear Block.

There are 9 different sizes of Clear Blocks to choose from. They range in size from 1-3/16"x1-1/4" up to 4-7/8"x6". You can order them individually, or:
Save 10%, and order the Block Bundle and get them all!
You would also earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration product with your order.

Remember you can order any time directly from my website. Don't forget to choose your FREE product with a purchase of $50 before s/h & tax.

Thanks for Sale-a-Brating with me!

Open House Success!

My Open House yesterday was a huge success! Thank you all for coming. It is always a treat for me to see everyone & share my passion of stamping with you. Now, for those of you who are not local, I can share with you, the projects that I have been working on.

This is a little Top Note Treat Pouch. So simple, and cute. Great for school, work, friends or neighbors. This could also work for other occasions, like shower or birthday favors.

Using the Big Shot, cut 2 Top Notes from your cardstock, score & fold about an inch down from the top of one. Cut a third Top Note from printed paper, and trim off at the perforation. Cut this one in half, you can get 2 of these from one Top Note. I used one of Ruby Red Patterns from the Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper III Hostess Set Level 1. This is a 6x6 paper pack great for cards and small projects like this one. Adhere printed paper to front of scored Top Note. Using Sticky Strip adhere to three sides only, leaving top open to form your pouch. The scallop is from the Love You Much Stamp Set. I stamped it twice, punched it out with the Scallop Circle Punch, and then punched the center out with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Then I punched a 1-3/8" Circle from Ruby Red Cardstock and added that layer in between the two stamped images. I finished it off by tying on some White Grosgrain Ribbon.

Sweet Pea Stitched Felt

Are you loving the Occasions Mini Catalog? Now is the best time to order, during Sale-a-Bration! With every $50 you spend you earn FREE product. Stampin' Up! has even expanded the items available to choose from beyond just what is available in the SAB Brochure. This year, there is a huge list of items from the 2009/2010 Idea Book & Catalog. This gives you another great opportunity to get more of the things on your wish list.

My card today is one using the adorable Sweet Pea Stitched Felt. I actually earned these free by becoming certified on using My Digital Studio. A nice perk of being a Demonstrator. I thought I would be getting one flower. Silly me, when I opened my box of goodies, there was a whole package! 52 pieces; flowers, petals, leaves, circles all so cute I couldn't wait to use them. When I saw them they reminded me of the felt ribbon we had in a holiday mini a couple of years ago. I still had some, so I used it, even though it has been retired. Maybe SU will bring it back since it matches so well. I used my Big Shot and the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1, and Sizzlit Die Lots of Tags. The sentiment is from Well Scripted from the Occasions Mini punched with the Wide Oval.

I've just posted classes for January, February & March on my website. Check them out & mark your calendars. Don't forget about my Open House this coming Sunday, January 10 from 1-4. I look forward to seeing you.

Thanks for stopping by!

My stamping time has been limited, so I basically copied a card straight from the Occasions Mini to share with you today. It seems I have to get back into the "creative" swing of things after so many days away from my craft room! I used all New Product to create this card, except for the cardstock. I Love the Well Scripted Stamp Set and all the swirly sentiments! The bird is one of the New Style Punches, Extra Large Two-Step Bird! It's fabulous! It has the bird, separate wing, so you can use Stampin' Dimensionals, the branch and the leaves...all in one punch! What a great value! Check out the cute little brad. It's one of the New Sending Love Epoxy Brads. They come in either 1/2" Pretty in Pink, 1/2" Real Red, or 1/4" Chocolate Chip. Aren't they adorable? Notice the scallop edge? You got it...it's the New Pinking Hearts Border Punch! This little note card measures 2-1/4" x 4" to fit in the New Glassine Envelopes.

You can see, touch, feel & use all of these new products this Sunday, January 10 at my Stampin' Up! Open House.
