Sweet Stitches Memo Board

Things have been wild & crazy in the Studio the past couple of weeks, getting ready for our Big Sale-a-Bration Event. The girls & I were busy cutting and preparing projects, and making lots of displays to take & share to show case as much product as we could. This Memo Board is one of my favorite new displays!

I used the Sweet Stitches Designer Fabric, 1/4" Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon, and the coordinating Giant Buttons, that sadly, are no longer available. I knew I just had to have them, and I'm glad that I came up with the perfect use for them! This project is so easy, I want to make one out of every one of the great fabrics that we have available.

Our Celebrate Sale-a-Bration Event was a huge success! We had a blast, and I'm pretty sure everyone who joined us had fun too. They want us to do events like this more often. We've decided on 3 times a year. The most special times of our Stampin' Up! year ~ Sale-a-Bration, of course, the release of the New Catalog, and the Holiday Mini. So, now you know when to start looking for announcements about the next Big Event. We hope to see you next time!

There's less than 2 weeks left of Sale-a-Bration. It's all over March 31st! Do you want to earn free product? Visit my website, or contact me to find out how before you miss out.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Simple Valentine

I have a cute, simple Valentine Card for you today. This one uses the Candy Conversations Stamp featured in the A la Carte section of the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Yep, this is one stamp! I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color the hearts. The colors I used are, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Real Red, Riding Hood Red, and Cherry Cobbler. I also couldn't resist using the new Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder again. These are just like the regular embossing folders, but they are only 1" wide, so you can add adorable embossed accents to your cards or scrapbook pages.

I added a simple strip of 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon and used some Linen Thread to tie on the Love Tag from the Trinket Hearts, also found in the Occasions Mini.

Tomorrow kicks off Sale-a-Bration 2012! Are you ready to earn FREE exclusive product?
With every $50 you purchase, you can choose free Stamps, a Ribbon & Brad Bundle, Cardstock, Designer Series Paper & more! Host a Workshop between January 24, 2012 and March 31 and earn even more! Contact me for more details.

Sale-a-Bration Sneak Peek

With Sale-a-Bration just a few days away, I thought it was time to give you a little peek of some of the Exclusive products that you can earn for FREE! Here is my card honoring the Sale-a-Bration ~

This card features the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper. I am in Love with this assortment of paper! It is so beautiful and coordinates with the 2011-2013 In-Colors. During Sale-a-Bration, when you spend $50 you can get this pack of 12x12 paper FREE. You will get 12 sheets, 2 each of 6 double-sided designs.

The sentiment is another SAB exclusive item. This is the Outlined Occasions Stamp Set. It is a set of 6, and can also be yours FREE with a qualifying order. I stamped it on Naturals Ivory Cardstock, and colored it in with my Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker. Then I cut it in to a tag shape and added the brad and ribbon, which are also SAB products. The Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack coordinates with the DSP and comes with 2 spools of ribbon, Calypso Coral & Lucky Limeade, 10 yards each, and an assortment of coordinating brads.

I used the new Framelits Labels Collection to cut the DSP. To enhance the vintage look of the paper and add dimension, I used my Sponge Daubers and Soft Suede Classic Ink to sponge the edges. To give extra dimension, I used Stampin' Dimensionals on the second and third layers. The small floral piece I hand-cut. I added a small piece of scallop border to the tag, punched from Calypso Coral Cardstock with the Scallop Border Trim Punch.

The Framelits are great and easy to use. They coordinate with stamp sets found in the Occasions Mini. Since they are frames, they enable you to see where you're placing the design on your paper before you cut, so you can center them over a stamped image or an image on the patterned paper like I did here. I Love them!

Sale-a-Bration starts January 24. Remember you can place your orders online, anytime, from the comfort of your own home, enjoying all the same benefits and have your orders shipped directly to your doorstep!

Contact me with any questions or to book your workshop. Thanks for stopping by ~

Little Red Frame

I got my stamp set that I won when I entered my Flirtatious Bag on Shelli's Creative Blog Challenge! I got to choose any stamp set that I wanted, and I chose Fabulous Phrases. It's a 30 piece set of words in a really fun font. I can see so many possibilities! My first project I just had to copy the little frame from the catalog. Here's my version.

This is a little 3x3 frame. I Love these little frames, and have had so much fun stamping different designs in them. I should have used my Stamp-a-ma-jig, but was being a bit lazy, and a lot excited to use my new stamps. My spacing is a little off. I did use the Clear Mount Stamps, which made lining up the words easier.

I used Naturals Ivory Cardstock for the base and stamped the words with Island Indigo, Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red Classic Ink. The heart is punched out with the Small Heart Punch from Real Red Cardstock. I punched two vertical holes in it and tied Linen Thread through them securing it to the back with a Stampin' Dimensional. I layered it on Basic Black and put it in the frame.

There are only 7 more days until Sale-a-Bration! Are you making your list of things you need to order so you can earn some FREE exclusive products? I'm also filling up my calendar, so if you want to gather your friends and Host a Workshop, you can earn even more! Contact me for more information.

For You

We are down to the last 3 days of Sale-a-Bration! I can't believe how fast this time has gone by. Have you gotten all the Free stuff you wanted? I still have a couple of things I need, so I'll be placing my last personal Sale-a-Bration order tomorrow. Let me know if you need anything. I'd be happy to help you earn Free products too!

Today's card features a couple of the items you can get for Free during these last couple of days of Sale-a-Bration. The Punch Bunch Stamp Set, Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper Pack & Quick Accents Pack, and the adorable buttons from the Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon & Button Pack.

The Punch Bunch Set is great! Each of the 5 stamps coordinates with a punch. I've used the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch to punch out the stamped image and layered that on to the Old Olive 2-3/8" Scallop Circle. The Flower Strip and Scallop Border are from the Quick Accents Pack. These are self adhesive die cuts that are great for cards or scrapbooking. You get 2 12x12 sheets of die cuts with tons of designs, along with 9 sheets of double sided DSP in this pack. I've used one of the papers here. To add some texture, I ran the DSP through my Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I really love this technique! Lastly, I added the Ice Cream Parlor Buttons from the Ribbon & Button Pack, which coordinate with the DSP & Accent Pack.

There's also just 2 days left for my Big Shot Special. If you've been considering making that purchase, now's the time. You can earn lots of free Sale-a-Bration products, plus I am offering a Textured Impressions Embossing Folder of your choice ~ My gift to you! Click on the link above for all the details.

Inspiring Weekend!

We had our Spring meeting this past weekend with several Demonstrators in our group. I always look forward to these days. My upline lives in Iowa, but has family here. She plans these meetings when she's going to be in town and it's so great to see her and other Demonstrators in the area. We usually discuss business first, have some technique demonstrations, and then we get to stamp! Each Demonstrator designs a card and brings enough supplies for everyone else to make it. It's so much fun to sit down and leisurely stamp cards that someone else has designed!

Here's the card that I designed. This is the Clearly For You Stamp Set. This is the set that we got when we went to Leadership. It's definitely one of my most favorite sets right now!

I stamped the floral block design 3 times across the bottom with Marina Mist Classic Ink. The Old Olive Scallop Dotted Ribbon Border is lined up across the top of the stamped image. Then I layered the Very Vanilla Cardstock over that leaving only the bottom of the scallop showing. I used a strip of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon tied with Linen Thread and a Clear Bitty Button to finish it off.

Don't forget, there's only a couple more weeks to take advantage of Sale-a-Bration. For each $50 you spend, before s/h & tax you earn a Free Sale-a-Bration product. Or Host a Workshop to earn even more! Contact me for more details.

Amour

Wow! I know February is a short month, but geesh what happened! I went on a short vacation, had a bout with some migraine issues when I got back & now it's already the second week of March! I definitely have some catching up to do.

I do feel the "Love" and appreciate you checking in and leaving comments even though it's been over a month since I've shared a new project with you. The card I have today is one I've been admiring in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I love every element about it! The new Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, Beveled Windowpanes, Trinkets, Seam Binding, Stamping on DSP, and the Clearly For You Stamp Set!

Here is a close up of the detail of the Beveled Windowpane. All of the images are stamped and layered under the windowpane. There are pre-made slots all ready for you to tie your ribbon through to attach it to your card or scrapbook page. These come in 3 sizes. This is the largest, 1-1/2" x 2".

Don't forget that Sale-a-Bration is still going on through the end of March. For every $50 you spend (before s/h and tax) you earn a Free Sale-a-Bration product. There's still time to host a workshop & earn even more! Contact to schedule today.

Wedding Card

My niece got married this past weekend, and I would like to share the card with you that I made for her and her new hubby. I got the idea from Rebekah Jensen, a fellow Demonstrator. You can see her card HERE. I thought it was so beautiful and elegant, I had to CASE it.

I used the new Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love how this embossing folder adds a textured border to outline the focal point of the card. I used it on the inside too, to frame the sentiment. I stamped the medallion from Artistic Etchings, one of my favorite sets, in Concord Crush Classic Ink. I cut the monogram from Concord Crush Cardstock with my Big Shot and the Serif Essentials Alphabet. The little hearts are punched out of Lap of Luxury DSP with the Small Heart Punch. I've used Stampin' Dimensionals on one of them to add a little pop.

Remember, if you'd like to order any of these items, you can earn free product. With every $50 spent (before s/h & tax) you earn a Free Sale-a-Bration item. Click HERE to shop now!

Last Week For Filled With Love

Valentine's Day is the second most popular holiday for sending cards! When you order the Filled With Love Bundle, you get this adorable Stamp Set, Exclusive Designer Series Paper Pack and a FREE package of Clear Bitty Buttons. The perfect bundle to create all your Valentine cards!
Remember, this offer ends January 24.

I have to give a shout out to my new friends from South Carolina. One of the fun events at Leadership was making cards for Ronald McDonald House. Each table was given a box of product and asked to create cards. We were each to create a card of our own, and then create a card as a group and enter it in a contest. Our card didn't win, but that didn't matter, we were seated with 3 of the nicest ladies and enjoyed making several cards together for a great cause. I wish I had thought to get a picture of our group & the cards we made. Maybe we'll run into each other again at another SU event.

Just a few more days until Sale-a-Bration! Do you have your orders ready? Are you ready to earn FREE Stamps & Accessories? I'm ready! Contact me for more information.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I've been very busy working on swaps for Leadership. I joined a swap using Simply Scrappin' Kits. Each person in the swap designs a class using half of one of the Simply Scrappin' Kits, and then completes the kit for 3 other people. I designed a 6x6 album using the Good Times Kit for my swap. I love using these for albums. They come with Designer Series Paper, 12x12 Card Stock and Self Adhesive Die Cuts. Everything coordinates & makes it so easy to create beautiful scrapbook pages. I just added a little ribbon & a few brads & created 20 6x6 pages using only 1/2 of the kit. I'm very anxious to see what everyone else did with theirs. The greatest thing about this swap is that I will come home with 3 new classes already designed! How great is that ~ all the work has been done for me. Of course I'll still have the prep, but that's nothing compared to completely designing & preparing for a class.

I'm also working on swap cards. It's always so much fun to attend Convention, Regional, or any Stampin' Up! Event, to swap cards with other Demonstrators. Again, I will come home with lots of great new samples to share with you! I'll be leaving for Nashville Wednesday, and attending Leadership on Thursday & Friday. I'm planning on taking my computer & trying to post pictures, but they keep us pretty busy while we're there, so we'll see.

If you'd like to be able to attend an event like Leadership, you can by becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Sale-a-Bration is the perfect time to get started. Sell & earn FREE stamps all at the same time! It starts in just a couple of weeks, so why wait ~ Sign up now to get your kit in time to Sale-a-Brate!

Congratulations

Today's card is a quick card that I made using Well Scripted, the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Pack in the Occasions Mini Catalog, and the Scallop Border Punch in the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. I used So Saffron Cardstock as my card base and punched one edge of the Chocolate Chip to add an elegant border. Then, I simply added a strip of Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, tied it in a knot, and stamped my sentiment. A simple yet elegant card. I Love it!

If you were to purchase the Well Scripted stamp set, the Sweet Pea Paper Pack, a package of cardstock, and a spool of ribbon, you would earn the Scallop Border Punch for FREE! And ~ you would have the supplies to make around 50 cards! That's about $1.00 per card.

If you want to learn more about getting FREE product during Sale-a-Bration, click on the brochure on the sidebar, visit my website, or contact me directly! I would be happy to chat with you. You can earn even more by Hosting a workshop or joining my Team!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Let's Get Organized

What a great class yesterday! We decorated our Forget-Me-Not-Keepers and dividers with the adorable Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog. We now have our cards organized and ready to send at a moments notice. That's my hope any way. I am usually the one to remember the day of some one's Birthday that I haven't mailed their card, let alone made it yet. Now I can have them made ahead of time, organized by month and ready to go! The Keeper is designed specifically for Birthday & Anniversary cards, so we also added a couple of extra tabs for other occasions like Thank You, Sympathy and Baby.

We are in the last month of Sale-a-Bration. Only a short time remains to earn FREE product. If you haven't seen the great Stamp Sets, Paper Pack, or New Border Punch that you could get for FREE, check my website for more information. Love You Much

I don't often mix my personal life with my business life, but I do want to explain my lack of postings lately. My Father-in-Law was put in Hospice this past Tuesday, and my husband & I have been spending much of our time with him and our family. He was admitted with the thought that they would regulate the pain medication and then he would return home, but he has declined rather quickly in the last few days. He is comfortable now, and sleeping most of the time.

I do have a card to share, another Valentine. This one I did for a challenge. We were to use the colors Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Pretty in Pink. I love this color combination! I used Chocolate Chip for my base, Pretty in Pink for the main layer and accented with Real Red. I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. I used the new stamp sets, Vintage Vogue and Well Scripted from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the new Small Heart Punch.

I can't believe we are already half way through Sale-a-Bration! From now through March 31, 2010, when you spend $50 you earn FREE SAB product. Also during SAB, if you're thinking of becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator you receive a 15% discount on your starter kit, plus you'll receive a free stamp set of your choice. Value up to $47.95. Contact me today!

I have 3 spots left in my Lets Get Organized Class on Sunday, February 28. Check out my website for more details.
It's snowing here again today ~ hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by.

Milk Carton Bird House

Is this not the cutest little bird house? This is actually the new Bigz L Milk Carton Die, to use with the Big Shot. I just Love it! You can use this for a little treat box for any occasion. Without the roof, it looks just like a miniature milk carton. Or, add the roof, and make these adorable little bird houses. Notice the scallop edge on the roof. This is the Scallop Trim Border Punch. This is one of the Sale-a-Bration items you could earn FREE right now with a $50 order! This is the first time SU has offered a punch as one of the SAB items. It coordinates with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch in the Occasions Mini. I Love the dainty look of this punch!

Of course, I had to use the new Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch again too. You will be seeing him a lot, I just can't get enough of him. He's also a great way to use scraps of Designer Series Paper or cardstock. I used the new Sweet Pea DSP from the Occasions Mini, along with Pretty in Pink and Old Olive cardstock. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop him off the birdhouse, and on the front wing to add more dimension. The flower was punched out with the Trio Flower Punch and I added a Bashful Blue Brad for the center.

Sale-a-Bration is in full swing! Remember, you can order directly from my website, at your convenience, from the comfort of your own home, anytime 24/7. Don't forget to add your FREE SAB choice when placing your order!

Vintage Vogue With Beautiful Wings

I have to tell you that I am absolutely loving the New Clear Mount Block and new stamp sets! This is the floral swirl image from the New Vintage Vogue Stamp Set. By mounting your rubber stamp on the clear block, you can see exactly where to stamp. I was able to stamp this image three times in a row without the aid of my Stamp-a-ma-jig.

The stamps themselves are still the same high-quality rubber and foam of the wood mount stamps, and come die cut, with labels, ready to assemble. These sets come in a handy storage case resembling a DVD case. All the images are shown on the front of the case, and the spine is labeled as well, with the stamp set name and thumbnail images making it so easy to find exactly what you're looking for! You can also order additional empty cases, 4 for only $4.95. These would be great for storing all kinds stamping & scrapping supplies.

The butterflies on my card were made using the New Embosslit Die Beautiful Wings. These are great too! They not only cut out the image, they emboss it at the same time! This one comes with 4 butterflies on one die. What a great deal. Since I used the Designer Series Paper Razzleberry Lemonade, you can't see the embossing very well, but if you use a solid color, it looks great. I was also able to line up my sentiment perfectly using a Clear Block.

There are 9 different sizes of Clear Blocks to choose from. They range in size from 1-3/16"x1-1/4" up to 4-7/8"x6". You can order them individually, or:
Save 10%, and order the Block Bundle and get them all!
You would also earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration product with your order.

Remember you can order any time directly from my website. Don't forget to choose your FREE product with a purchase of $50 before s/h & tax.

Thanks for Sale-a-Brating with me!

Open House Success!

My Open House yesterday was a huge success! Thank you all for coming. It is always a treat for me to see everyone & share my passion of stamping with you. Now, for those of you who are not local, I can share with you, the projects that I have been working on.

This is a little Top Note Treat Pouch. So simple, and cute. Great for school, work, friends or neighbors. This could also work for other occasions, like shower or birthday favors.

Using the Big Shot, cut 2 Top Notes from your cardstock, score & fold about an inch down from the top of one. Cut a third Top Note from printed paper, and trim off at the perforation. Cut this one in half, you can get 2 of these from one Top Note. I used one of Ruby Red Patterns from the Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper III Hostess Set Level 1. This is a 6x6 paper pack great for cards and small projects like this one. Adhere printed paper to front of scored Top Note. Using Sticky Strip adhere to three sides only, leaving top open to form your pouch. The scallop is from the Love You Much Stamp Set. I stamped it twice, punched it out with the Scallop Circle Punch, and then punched the center out with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Then I punched a 1-3/8" Circle from Ruby Red Cardstock and added that layer in between the two stamped images. I finished it off by tying on some White Grosgrain Ribbon.

Remember, it's your time to Sale-a-Brate! Earn FREE product by placing a qualifying order, being a Hostess, or joining my Team! Did you know that you can get started selling Stampin' Up! for only $169 now through March 31st! Contact me for more information, or go directly to my website. While you're there, check out my classes for January, February & March.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Pea Stitched Felt

Are you loving the Occasions Mini Catalog? Now is the best time to order, during Sale-a-Bration! With every $50 you spend you earn FREE product. Stampin' Up! has even expanded the items available to choose from beyond just what is available in the SAB Brochure. This year, there is a huge list of items from the 2009/2010 Idea Book & Catalog. This gives you another great opportunity to get more of the things on your wish list.

My card today is one using the adorable Sweet Pea Stitched Felt. I actually earned these free by becoming certified on using My Digital Studio. A nice perk of being a Demonstrator. I thought I would be getting one flower. Silly me, when I opened my box of goodies, there was a whole package! 52 pieces; flowers, petals, leaves, circles all so cute I couldn't wait to use them. When I saw them they reminded me of the felt ribbon we had in a holiday mini a couple of years ago. I still had some, so I used it, even though it has been retired. Maybe SU will bring it back since it matches so well. I used my Big Shot and the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1, and Sizzlit Die Lots of Tags. The sentiment is from Well Scripted from the Occasions Mini punched with the Wide Oval.

I've just posted classes for January, February & March on my website. Check them out & mark your calendars. Don't forget about my Open House this coming Sunday, January 10 from 1-4. I look forward to seeing you.

Thanks for stopping by!
