I just had to share this card with you today. My Jazzercise Instructor commissioned me to make some cards for her, and asked if we had anything "exercise" related. I don't have any stamps directly related to exercising, but Tess instantly came to mind, with her cute little bag.
I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink her up, but didn't ink her entire top so I could make it look more like a work-out top. I actually used Jet Black Stazon for her head and bag, so it wouldn't run when I colored in with Summer Sun and Pixie Pink. After the bag was dry, I used my Stampin' Write Journaler to write Jazzercise to match my bag. For her top, I stamped the apron, and just cut it shorter. The ribbon was just something I had and is not SU.
Tote-ally Tess was available in the Occasions Mini. I'm hoping she'll carry over to the New 2010/2011 Idea Book & Catalog! She comes with this adorable little bag and several stamping accessories.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a Great Day!

Watercolor Trio
Today's card uses several new products featured in the Summer Mini. The Watercolor Trio Stamp Set is gorgeous! I Love it, because like it's name states, it looks like a watercolor painting. I kind of CASE'd this card; Copy And Share Everything, from another Demonstrator. That is one of the many perks of being a Demonstrator, we all Love to share our ideas with everyone. She had made a card similar to this, same color scheme and stamp set, but I changed it up a bit so it wouldn't be a complete copy.
Other new products used were the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and the Bitty Buttons. The embossing folders are an excellent way to add texture to your projects. Just put your cardstock in the folder and run it through your Big Shot. It's that simple! You can use them on cards like I did here, or customize your own embellishments for your scrapbook pages. Imagine texturizing the letters for your title, or chipboard shapes, the possibilities are endless.
The Bitty Buttons are just too cute. There are 64 in a package. 16 clear buttons each of 4 different shapes; heart, circle, flower, and scallop circle. And that's not all! There are coordinating punches for the circle, flower and scallop, sold in an Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. I used the Small Heart Punch that was sold in the Occasions Mini Catalog, behind my heart button. It's not a perfect fit, but I think it looks just fine. The colors I used are Not Quite Navy and Garden Green, two colors that will be staying with us as Core Colors when the New Catalog is released in July. The ribbon is Mellow Moss Satin. The color doesn't look great in my photo, but it really does blend nicely in person. Mellow Moss has always been one of my favorite colors. It will be retiring the end of June.
Have you looked at the list of colors that we are wishing a Fond Farewell? Don't wait too long. You don't want to miss out on getting your favorites before they are gone for good!

"Delft" Just For You
Brilliant Blue has always reminded me of Delft Pottery when paired with white, and definitely when using this beautiful swirl design in the Elements of Style stamp set. I love the crisp look when using white cardstock. White is also the perfect choice when using the Eyelet Border Punch. It's so cute and looks just like real eyelet.
These mosaic type cards are fun and so easy to make. Just cut your cardstock to size, stamp your image, then cut it into squares. When adhering it to your project, just leave a little space between each square to create the mosaic look. Larger patterns work best to achieve this look.
Brilliant Blue is one of the colors that will be retiring the end of June. There are actually 30 colors that will be going away, but not to worry, there are New Colors to be introduced! You can see the list of retiring colors by clicking on the color wheel on the sidebar, or visiting my website. If you see any of your favorites on that list, be sure to contact me, or place your order right away. Retiring colors are only going to be available while supplies last. You can also see the New Colors while you're there and start your Wish List for the upcoming Stampin' Up! year.

May Kit of the Month Sneak Peek
I'm running just a bit behind due to a family emergency. My daughter is 3 months pregnant, and had to have an emergency appendectomy Friday night. She and the baby are both doing fine, but it was quite scary.
I was finally able to get back into my craft room today and work on designing the Kit of the Month for May. These kits are 12x12 2-page layouts and sell for $10.00. You can reserve your copy by the 10th of each month, and I will have them ready by the 25th of that month. I am still loving using the DSP Paper Pack, Sweet Pea from the Occasions Mini. I hope SU comes out with more of these wonderful packs! Unfortunately, Sweet Pea is no longer available, but I ordered enough to last a while.
Here is just a peek at Page 1 of the kit. If you are interested in ordering, just contact me, I've extended the deadline a couple of days this month!
I hope you're enjoying your day ~ Thanks for stopping by!

Smooch Spritz with Style
Here is another card using the Elements of Style set from the Summer Mini. I do Love this set! I just can't get enough of it! For this one I randomly stamped the image on Apricot Appeal and then cut it into thirds before layering on the Close to Cocoa base. Both of these colors are going to be retiring the end of June. I stamped the sentiment on Very Vanilla, and used three Circle Punches and the Scallop Circle Punch for the layers. The ribbon is the 3/8" Chocolate Chip Taffeta.
Now, here's where the Smooch Spritz comes in! To give my card just a little more vintage look, I added just a"smooch" of Log Cabin "spritz". This is one of the new products in the Summer Mini. They are pearlized accent sprays that you can use to add just a splash of color to your projects. There are four different colors; Gold Glow, Silver Foil, Vanilla Shimmer, and Log Cabin. They are so fun, and reasonably priced at just $4.95.
It does take a little practice, but I think you'll like them if you try them!
Have a great weekend!
Check out the card from Tuesdays post ~ I felt it was a bit too plain, so I added the small hearts!

Fond Farewell
Now that you've had a chance to check out the new Color Collections, you probably have a favorite color, or several, that you're sad to see go. I know, me too, but that is why I decided to share this information with you now. I wanted to give you plenty of time to stock up on your favorites, before they are gone. We have several weeks to purchase any of the Retiring colors. If you are in the middle of a project, like me, you still have time to place an order to make sure you can complete all of your projects. Remember, the SU year doesn't end until the end of June. I did a little inventory of my "projects in the works", so I can get the cardstock I need, finish them, and put them in my "projects complete" file!
The card I have to share with you today, showcases the 5 new Core Colors. One of the perks of being a Demonstrator is that we get little sneak peeks of the new stuff. We got a sample of each of the new colors to play with. Several Demonstrators have made a card similar to this one using all 5 new colors. This also shows how the new colors coordinate with some of the existing products! I used the the 1/2" So Saffron Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, and a Chocolate Chip Designer Button from the Latte Assortment. Since I don't have Cherry Cobbler Ink...yet, I used Riding Hood Red (one of my favorites that's making a come back!). That's one of the things I Love about SU! Everything coordinates! It makes creating so much easier & fun!
Again, the New Colors are: Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Marine Mist & Early Espresso. Remember, these are new Core Colors, there will still be 5 New In-Colors coming in July. I can't wait to see those!
If you would like to book a workshop to get your order in for your favorite cardstock, contact me today, or you can go to my website & place your order online!
It's going to be a beautiful sunny day here, I hope you enjoy your day. Thanks for checking in!

At Last!
I have been trying to log into my blog all day to do an update. I could not get on until now! It kept saying the site may be busy...I had to chuckle. I am up to 9 followers now, and I appreciate you all greatly, but I really doubt if that was the reason I couldn't get on. Anyway, you have probably noticed along the sidebar that we are getting new colors!
At the end of every Stampin' Up! year, we know we are going to have to say good-bye to some of the products that we have come to love, and this year is no different. Well, it is a bit different in that we are doing a Color Renovation! I am so excited. Change is always hard, but I am really looking forward to this one. Some current colors will be retiring, some of the old In-Colors will be making a come back, and 5 completely new colors are being introduced!
We are paring down the number of colors in each collection as well, so hopefully it won't seem so overwhelming. Each Collection will now have 10 colors. We will still introduce 5 New In-Colors each year, but they will stay with us for 2 years instead of just one. I'm so excited that several of the past In-Colors are returning. Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, River Rock, Soft Suede, Riding Hood Red & Pink Pirouette (two of my personal favorites!), Baja Breeze, and Wild Wasabi will all be core colors starting in July.
The 5 New Colors are Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, & Marine Mist. Kraft will be changing its name to Crumb Cake and will also be available in matching ink, marker & embellishments! Click on the palette on the sidebar to see the new colors.
I'm glad Stampin' Up! has updated its color palette to keep up with the trends. These new colors are going to be so much to play with!
Now, as far as the colors that are retiring, click on the palette on the sidebar to see which colors will soon be gone. Join Me and my Team for our Retirement Party as we celebrate during this class using lots of our favorite products before they are gone for good! Check my website for more information.
