I actually spent some creative time in my studio yesterday. I realized if I was going to send Easter cards, that I'd better "hop" to it and get them made and in the mail! This is one I saw that another Demonstrator had made. It was so pretty, I had to try it.
I used my Big Shot for several different components of this card. The embossed background, the scallop oval, and the oval were all created using my Big Shot. The Easter Blessings stamp is a single stamp and is available in the Spring Catalog. The flower is from the Nature Walk Stamp Set, and the little butterfly is from the Lovely Little Labels Stamp Set. Both of these sets can be found in the Annual Catalog.
There are a couple of different ways to get the two-tone look while stamping. One way is to color directly on your stamps with your Stampin' Write Markers. This works very well, especially if you are using several different colors. With these stamps, since I was just using two colors, I inked up the entire stamp with the main color, then wiped off the part of the stamp that I wanted a different color. Then I used my Stampin' Write Marker to recolor that area. I think this method gives a bit more of a crisper look when stamped.
There are so many great things going on right now with Stampin' Up!
Hop on over to my website to check everything out so you don't miss out on any of these special deals!
I hope you enjoyed today's project. Thanks for stopping by ~
