Back To Business

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was busy as usual, and we did have a wonderful time. I have had to put my stamping on the back burner for a while, with lots of "life" stuff going on. My Father-in-Law is very ill. We actually thought we were going to lose him before Thanksgiving, but he has had a miraculous turn-around, and is doing a little better. My husband was working out-of-town for 3 weeks straight right before Christmas. He was only 2-1/2 hours away, so I traveled to see him on the weekends. This past week, I have just stopped to take a deep breath, and gear up for the new year.

I am very excited about the Occasions Mini Catalog! If you haven't received your copy in the mail, contact me and I will get a copy to you right away. You don't want to miss this one! There are some great new products being introduced. This is also Sale-a-Bration Time! Beginning January 5, 2010, with every $50 you spend, you can choose a FREE Sale-a-Bration product. Stampin' Up! has also extended Sale-a-Bration to include several Stamp Sets in the 2009 Idea Book & Catalog! Check my website after January 5 for more details.

I would like to invite you to my Open House introducing some of these great new products. If you would like to see, touch, feel & use the New Clear Mount Blocks, New Style Punches, & Big Shot Dies & Accessories, stop by my home on January 10, 2010 between 1pm & 4pm. Also, sign up for my Very Valentine Class scheduled for January 24, 2010 at 1pm. Get all your Valentines done in one day! We will be completing 12 cards (3 designs, 4 cards each) and 4 Valentine Treat Holders.

I hope to get back into my craft room & back down to business so I can get some samples posted showcasing some of these fun new products!

Thanks for visiting, have a great day!

Fancy Favor Box Luminary

This is one of the projects that we did in my last class. I saw something similar to this on another blog, done with metal sheets, and thought, why not just use metallic cardstock. This Red is not Stampin' Up! However, we do have Brushed Gold & Silver Metallic Cardstock that would work beautifully for this project. Because I used cardstock, I can't use a real candle, so I have a battery operated tea light inside. I love the way they "flicker" to make it look as though a real candle is burning.

First I cut the Fancy Favor Box with my Big Shot. Then I used the Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder. This is a bit tricky. Place the folder over the straight end of the box and run it through the Big Shot. Trim a 1/2" off the tab end of the box so the folder will meet in the middle. Make sure you keep the same side of the folder on top as the first side. Learn from my mistakes ;0. Run through the Big Shot. I used my Anywhere Hole Punch from the tool kit that we used to carry. You could use your Paper Piercing Tool and wiggle it around to make the hole a little bigger. Then use Sticky Strip to adhere the side and bottom.

These would make adorable table decorations for bridal or baby showers, or even weddings. You could add a handle, ribbons, flowers...the possibilities are endless!

Thanks for stopping by today. Enjoy your weekend!

Lattice Ornament

In preparing for a class totally devoted to using the Big Shot, I was inspired one night, and created this Lattice Ornament.

This is the Lattice Bigz Die. I cut 3 of them with Real Red Cardstock, scored them down the middle and folded them in half. I used my 2-way Glue Pen to glue 2 halves together. That's when the inspiration really hit me. I grabbed my Pretties Kit and added the Clear, Round & Teardrop Beads. I used Crystal Effects to hold the beads in the middle in place on the metal pins. I had to use 3 pins, and cut them with the Craft & Rubber Scissors so the ends would be hidden under the cardstock. Then I glued the last Lattice in place.

Make Stampin' Up! your one-stop shop for all your holiday gift-giving needs. Be sure to check out the Gift Giving Guide where you can quickly and easily find gifts for kids, teens, neighbors, and more! Plus, get a FREE Décor Elements (up to a $16.95 value) when you spend $50 on products in the guide.

Don't forget about my special with the Dormant Sets that are retiring. Order any set that will be retiring in January, and I will give you a 20% Discount. Check out the list to see if there are any sets that you need! This is my personal special and can not be honored through on-line orders.

Dasher Card

Oh my goodness, where does the time go? I spent the day yesterday plowing through my craft room. It was a bit less than tidy, and yesterday was the first day that I've had since the Craft Bazaar to get in there and try to get things back in order so I can sit down and get back to work. Unfortunately, there hasn't been much stamping going on here lately.

Fortunately, I do have a card to share with you today. This is Dasher. He is one of the Under $10 individual stamps located in the back of the catalog. I just love him! He's especially elegant stamped in the Encore Silver Metallic Ink. These inks tend to dry slowly, so I used my Heat Tool to quickly heat-set it to keep it from smearing.

The snowflake stamp in the background is from the Level 2 Hostess Set, Christmas Punch. Each of the stamps in this set coordinates with one of the punches. The snowflake stamp coordinates with the Boho Blossoms Punch.

You could Host a qualifying Workshop, earn this Hostess set, and then use your Hostess Awards to get a Punch for FREE! Don't forget, you can get a FREE Décor Elements (up to a $16.95 value) when you spend $50 on products from the Gift Giving Guide.

The silver metallic ribbon and sentiment are both retired SU items.

Thanks for visiting!

New Downloads & A Card

Stressing about your Christmas cards yet? Stress no more! As of today, there are seven new digital downloads for My Digital Studio available, including several holiday-themed kits that will make your Christmas projects a breeze! Click on the My Digital Studio Picture to the right, I have redirected it to take you right to the Newest Downloads available.

Remember, even if you haven't purchased My Digital Studio yet, you can still purchase downloads and use them later with MDS, or with digital software you are already using.

Item # Item Name Price
118117 Berry Christmas stamp brush set $5.95
118118 Friend by Definition stamp brush set $1.95
118119 Just Perfect Alphabet stamp brush set $9.95
120880 Christmas Cocoa II digital kit $9.95
120881 Write Stuff II digital kit $9.95
120882 Icicle digital photo card kit $3.95
120883 Merry Moments digital photo card kit $3.95

My card today is my favorite of all the cards I made for the Craft Bazaar. This one uses the Big Shot & Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions Folder. I love these embossing folders! They make it so easy to add great dimension to your cards. You can find this one in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I used my Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen to color the centers of the poinsettias. I think it really makes the card. The saying is from the Heard From The Heart Stamp Set. The ribbon is the 3/4" Red Polka Dot Grosgrain. I hope SU adds this in more colors, I love it too!

Here is a close up of the embossing.

Thanks for checking in, hope you're having a wonderful day. The sun is finally shining here!

Treat Box

These Treat Boxes are perfect if you like to make Holiday Treats to share with friends & family. They are coated and food safe. They come 5 to a package for only $3.95, and ship flat. All you have to do is fold on the crease lines when you're ready to use them, insert your treat, small gift, or gift card, add a tag with coordinating ribbon and viola! You have an adorable gift bag in a snap!

I used the Large Metal Edge Tag, covered with Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP punched with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. It just happens to be the perfect fit. I love that about SU products, everything works together! I stamped the deer image from the Winter Post Stamp Set in Soft Suede Classic Ink, punched it out, sponged the edges, and layered it on the tag with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added the red nose with my Real Red Stampin' Write Markers. The Sweet Treats saying is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, stamped with Real Red Classic Ink, punched out with the Word Window Punch, and layered on Real Red Cardstock punched with the New Modern Label Punch. I used my Crop-a-Dile to punch the hole in the tag, added the Sleigh Bells Ribbon, and tied it to my Treat Box.

These are so simple and fun to make. You can make up several at a time, so when you get that unexpected invite to a friends house, you can add your treats and have a nice gift to present to them when arrive.

The Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP, and Sleigh Bells Ribbon can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog, along with lots of other fun Holiday stamp sets, paper & ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed today's project. Thanks for stopping by!

Catching Up

Wow! I was embarrassed when I realized how long it had been since I had last posted anything here. I have really neglected you, I must get you caught up!

First, let me explain my absence. I have been stamping like a crazy woman preparing for a Craft Bazaar that I participated in this past Saturday. I am happy to say, that it was a success in several ways. It was very well organized, the people running it were extremely gracious, I saw lots of people I knew, I had some interest in my classes, a good friend of mine sat with me to keep me company, and last but not least, I sold stuff! This is also good for you...I have lots of projects completed that I can share with you here, so possibly a month won't pass by with out something for you to check out.

The project I have for you today, some of you may have seen before, but this is a different color combination. I had some friends interested in doing these for Holiday Gifts, so I invited them over, and we had an afternoon of stamping fun. I had my samples to use as guides. I love it when we do this. Not an actual class, because you can express your creativity and "do your own thing", and I love to see what other people come up with. One of the ladies chose similar colors to these, and I just had to make some like it. I sold two in this color combination! Thanks, Cathy!

Now that the Craft Bazaar is over, I need to get my thoughts together, and get you caught up on everything that is happening with Stampin' Up! Be sure to check out my website for the latest information, and check back tomorrow for another project and more updates.

Thanks so much for visiting, have a great day!

Some of the products used in this project are Retired. Let me know if you have any questions.

More Digital Fun!

Here is a 12 x 12 Scrapbook Page that I literally whipped up in about 15 minutes with My Digital Studio! This time I started with a blank page and chose my own background papers, embellishments, stamps etc., to complete my page. I haven't printed it out yet. The service for individual pages is not available quite yet, but when it is, there will be a minimum of 5 pages either 8-1/2 x 11 or 12 x 12 (true to size) pages, and the cost will be only $2.95 each! Using Stampin' Up!'s professional print services is the best way to print your projects created with MDS to make sure their exclusive colors print correctly.

Be sure to check out this week's Deal of the Week. This is the final one! Click on the picture on the sidebar, and it will take you right there.

Don't forget about the new downloads for MDS, just in time for Halloween. Did you know that you don't have to have MDS to get the downloads? If you already do digital, you can order these adorable downloads to add to your collection. Visit my website to see what's new.

With the launch of our much anticipated My Digital Studio software, new recruits can purchase an exclusive Starter Kit that includes My Digital Studio, in addition to stamps, inks, and accessories. Contact me or visit my website for more information.

My Digital Studio

Well, once again, I can't believe another week has gone by. As they say, "Time sure flies when you're having fun!" I have been going through a Certification Program that SU is offering to Demonstrators for the My Digital Studio Software Program. Can I just say that this is an Amazing program! It is so much more than just scrapbooking. Not only can you create greeting cards, albums and individual scrapbook pages in 5 different sizes, and calendars, you can create Interactive greeting cards and albums by adding narration, music, & videos. The possibilities are almost endless!

Here is a quick card that I created to share with you this morning. You can start with a template, which is what I did here, or you can start from a blank page and create a card or scrapbook page completely on your own. When you get your MDS you get 2000 images to begin creating. Designer Series Paper, Cardstock, including the In-Colors, Hundreds of Stamp Sets, Punches and Embellishments galore! Ribbons, Brads, Hodge Podge Hardware, Buttons, everything you need. The great thing about the embellishments is that they are "true to size". So, if you design a page, add a button, and decide after printing that you want to create a hybrid page and actually add that button, the digital button is the exact size of the actual button! Another great thing is that if you want to, you can resize any embellishment or stamp or punch. Imagine that!

There will also be new downloads available periodically. Here are some new ones just in time for Halloween:

Item # Product Name Price
118114 Cast A Spell Designer Series paper - digital download $4.95
118115 Night & Day Designer Series paper - digital download $4.95
118124 Medallion stamp brush set - digital download $1.95
118126 Circle Circus stamp brush set - digital download $5.95
118116 School Days II stamp brush set - digital download $9.95
118121 Great Moments II stamp brush set - digital download $9.95
118122 Pumpkin Patch stamp brush set - digital download $5.95

If you have any questions regarding MDS, please let me know. Even though I have gone through the Certification program, I'm definitely not an expert, but if I don't know the answer, you can bet I will do the research and find it for you!

I have a question for you today. I am curious if you would prefer posts every day of simpler projects with more detailed projects once in a while, or a couple of posts a week of more detailed projects. I have been feeling guilty for not posting on a daily basis. I appreciate your opinion!

Don't forget to check the Deal of the Week! There are some great embellishments on sale this week.

Have a Great Weekend!

Wood Block Calendar

Are you loving the Holiday Mini Catalog as much as I am? When I saw these Decor Elements Blocks, I just knew I had to have them. I didn't know at the time exactly what I was going to do with them, although I really like the sample in the catalog, but I had to have them! I also loved the Calendar Kit...okay...I pretty much love everything about this mini catalog.

At Regional they showed the calendar on the blocks, so I had try it! The calendar pages are bigger than the 3" blocks, so I had to trim them down. I painted the tops & bottoms of each block with acrylic craft paint. The Blocks come in a set of 4, but I only used 3. I put 4 months on each block. Just make sure you don't put 2 consecutive months on the same block, if you want to display them in a stack like this. The Calendar Pages come printed with some distressing marks. I stamped the swirly design from the Note To Self stamp set, also in the mini, randomly along the edge of each month with Old Olive Classic Ink. I used Sticky Strip to adhere the pages, and lightly sanded the edges with my Sanding Block. I stacked them up and tied them with the 1-1/4" Chocolate Chip Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

These would make great Teacher gifts, or gifts for a co-worker to set on their desk. I just love it! I came up with some other ideas while working on this, so I just had to order some more blocks. I can't wait until they get here!

Hope you're enjoying this Fabulous Fall weather. Thanks for stopping by!

My Digital Studio

I feel another addiction coming on. Part of what I have been doing in my absence from my blog is playing with my latest purchase from Stampin' Up! I decided that if I was going to be able to answer any questions regarding My Digital Studio, I better have it...and use it...so I could help if needed. Now, I'm not completely computer challenged...I did learn how to blog...but I do have to request the assistance of my daughter for some things. So, I was a little worried that I may have some issues with figuring out how to use MDS. Not a problem! I am so proud of myself. I just completed a 22 page 8x8 album! It wasn't difficult at all. I just placed my order yesterday, so I will let you know how long it takes to get it. The nice thing is though, that now that it is saved in my computer, I can share pages with you now! So...here is my first try at digital scrapbooking.

My Digital Studio is now available for purchase, or host a $400 workshop and get it for half price!

Thanks for checking in, have a great day!

Idea Overload!

The Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar was amazing! I am very impressed with how much information they packed in to one day. The Seminar was opened by Shelli asking everyone in attendance to stand and join her in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. It was 9-11, and even though we were there for an enormous amount of fun, we wanted to remember that day, 8 years ago that was not fun at all.

Then the fun began. She shared with us some great projects that she has been working on to welcome home her daughter who has been away for quite some time working in Spain on a Mission Trip. Because they taped this Seminar, to be available to Demonstrators who were unable to attend, I can't show you actual pictures of her projects yet. There was Hands-on stamping, Business tips, Paper-crafting and stamping techniques, swapping with fellow Demonstrators, Presentations by SU! Staff and Local Demonstrators, Lunch, and several Make & Take projects! They also provided blank display boards for everyone to put one of their swap cards up on. That way, we could see and take pictures of all of the great ideas that we may not have received while swapping.

One of the most fun things at Convention and Regionals, is the opportunity to win FREE stamps. After each presenter, they would put 10 names up on the big screen, and those people would win a free stamp set. All of the free sets were sets from the Holiday Mini Catalog. You had to be in your seat at the time the names were shown, or you didn't win. Each time they showed names, someone was not in the room, and they had to pick another name. One of the free sets was the Autumn Splendor set. I have been eying this one, but hadn't ordered it yet. They showed so many awesome projects using this set, that I decided when I got home that I was going to go ahead and order it. When I told Lynn that I didn't have that one she said "oh, you'll win it" I never win anything. Then the 10 names were revealed, #10 Debbie Dutchess. I screamed and jumped up waving my arms, not even noticing that I had knocked over my chair. I was so excited...I won...and a set that I didn't already have!

Another particularly fun part was meeting Shelli. She is so genuine and so sweet to put up with all of us who are eager to get an autograph or the perfect photo. The Regional Seminar is a much smaller group than Convention, so there was virtually no waiting in line. Lynn & I got photos, but they are on her camera. I'll share those as soon as I get them.

As with Convention, we were put to a challenge. The theme is kind of "Back to the Basics", which is kind of funny, because I had, in my mind thought that maybe I should get back to the basics or in other words, start doing more "In-home Workshops" again. I have decided to have a good old fashioned workshop in my home. I will be sending invitations. If you would like more information, contact me. I would love to have you attend! Or, if you are interested in having a workshop with your friends in your home, contact me, I would love to Demonstrate for you!

I have lots of great ideas to share with you!

Off And Running Again

Just a quick post today before I leave for Cincinnati for the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar. I am so excited to be able to attend Regional. I was not able to attend Convention this year, and this is the next best thing. I can't wait to see what fun and exciting things they have in store for us. I do know that one exciting feature is that CEO and Co Founder of Stampin' Up!, Shelli Gardner is going to be presenting. That is definitely an added bonus!

I'm sure I will have lots of fun stuff to share when I get back, so be sure to check in again next week! It's hard to believe another week has flown by again. Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for visiting!

More Wandering Words

Well, I'm back, and the long weekend sure didn't seem long enough! We had a fabulous time though. Scott got to do some fishing, we took a leisurely boat ride, went to the beach, ate great sea food, and relaxed by the pool. Can't wait to do it again!

Back to business today. I just listened to some training information about the new My Digital Studio. I am so excited about this program. I am not a computer wiz, and was concerned that I would have difficulty learning this, or answering questions that my customers may have. But after today, I am not worried at all. It looks so easy...I can't wait to share it with you!

I do have a card for you today. This is another stamp from the Wandering Words Stamp Set in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I used Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, Kraft, Naturals Ivory, and Very Vanilla Cardstock. I stamped the image twice, once with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink, and once with Ruby Red on Very Vanilla. Then punched out Santa with the 1" Circle Punch and used Stampin' Dimensionals and adhered him right on top of the first one. I used the Jumbo Grommet to create the perfect hole to tie the 5/8" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon through. I created the textured background with my Big Shot and the Texturz Plates Kit #4.

Registration is open for our Holiday Mini Workshop. Thursday, October 8, 2009. If you want to join us in creating several fun projects featuring the products found in the Holiday Mini Catalog, contact me today!

Wandering Words

Today's card turned out really well, if I do say so myself. You can almost feel the Autumn breeze. This is another set from the Holiday Mini Catalog; Wandering Words. This is a set of 3 stamps, one for Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Thanksgiving. The patterned paper is DSP Autumn Traditions, and can be found in the IBC (Idea Book & Catalog). I used coordinating cardstock Always Artichoke, More Mustard, and Very Vanilla. I used the Scallop Edge Punch and the 1/16" Hand Held Punch to create the scallop edge. To get multiple colors on my stamped image, I inked up my stamp with Always Artichoke Classic Ink, and then used my Stampin' Write Markers in Ruby Red and More Mustard to color some of the leaves. Then, huff, and stamp. For the finishing touch, I wrapped some Linen Thread around the Very Vanilla layer and tied it in a knot.

It's not to late! Today is the last day to join the Stampin' Up! family with the purchase of the limited-time Mini Starter Kit. You can join by going directly to my website. All you need is my special code: debbied722

Tomorrow is the first day to place orders from the Holiday Mini Catalog! SU was running a bit behind in mailing them, but everyone should receive their copy by tomorrow. Lovely as a Tree

I hope you find today's project worth the wait. I was so excited when Lynn brought me one of the new Wood Sheets available as one of the many products that can be used in the Big Shot. When I saw the wood, I immediately thought of my Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set, and of course, I had to see how it would cut with my Big Shot. I cut the Top Note shape just as easily as cutting cardstock or patterned paper. I couldn't even tell a difference!

I was truly inspired, and felt that this project was going to be "frame" worthy, so I planned it around an 8x10 frame that I had with a 5x7 opening. I have done some other projects like this and really enjoy them. I remembered a technique that I had learned a while back that would add just the touch of color that I was looking for; Thumping. First, I inked my multi-tree stamp with Close To Cocoa Classic Ink. Then I used my Stampin' Write Markers in Handsome Hunter, More Mustard and Really Rust and Thumped or Lightly Touched randomly around the trees to create fall colored leaves. Then, huff and stamp directly on the cut Wood Sheet. I used my Stampin' Sponges and sponged the edges of the Wood Top Note with Close To Cocoa Classic Ink. Then, for some added texture, and because it looks like bark, I ran a piece of Chocolate Chip Cardstock through my Big Shot using the Texturz Plate Kit #4, and layered that off center on Handsome Hunter Cardstock. I stamped the little pine cone down the side in Handsome Hunter Classic Ink. I added a piece of Styled Silver Hodge Podge Hardware by tying it on with Hemp Twine. I searched my entire collection of stamps for just the right word. The word Hope is actually from the Sense of Time Stamp Set and is part of one of the sayings. I just used my Stampin' Write Marker in Close To Cocoa, colored just the word I wanted, and stamped it on Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then, I decided I wanted some more dimension, so I stamped the pine tree with Handsome Hunter Classic Ink on Creamy Caramel Cardstock, and cut it out. I mounted it with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Here is a close-up so you can see a little better.

Delightful Decorations

This is another set from the Holiday Mini Catalog that when I saw it I knew I had to have it! Okay...I know...I say that about almost everything! But, this set, Delightful Decorations comes with four ornaments and three little accent stamps. Then, there is a coordinating Ornament Punch, and Merry & Bright Rub-Ons! There is also a coordinating Sparkle & Shine Wheel. How cool is that?

Here is the card I made, using Always Artichoke, Ruby Red, and Whisper White Cardstock. I used one of the little accents to randomly stamp the background, then stamped the ornaments in Ruby Red and Always Artichoke Classic Ink and punched them out with the Ornament Punch. Isn't cute the way it leaves the perfect border around the ornament? I used the Eyelet Border Punch to add a delicate touch. I like the way the holes in the eyelet coordinate with the dots on the ornaments. I was also glad to see that they brought back the Silver and Gold Elastic Cord. This is a great addition to cards, and is also fun to use for wrapping small packages or adding to gift bags. A little hint: I added a tiny dot of Crystal Effects to the silver bows, so they won't come untied. I also used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the ornaments. The Merry Christmas stamp is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.

Ornament Punch & Delightful Decorations available September 1 in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

We are working out the details for our Holiday Mini Workshop. There are so many great things in this catalog, so keep watching, you won't want to miss this one!

Sweet Centers

Okay...I can't stand it any longer. I have noticed that some other Demonstrators have already shared some projects from the up-coming Holiday Mini Catalog. There are only a few days left before the sales period begins, so I decided that I too would share some of the things that I have been working on lately.

I was so excited when I saw this first item in the mini. These Sweet Treat Cups are perfect to hold little goodies, and coordinates with the Sweet Centers Stamp Set. The cups are self adhesive, which makes it even easier to create ornaments, treat bags, cards and more!

For my card, I used Basic Black Cardstock for the base. I stamped the Sanded Background Stamp on Rich Razzleberry Cardstock with Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink. I stamped the Ghouls and Goblins Stamp on Whisper White. This is one stamp, with the EEK in the center. I just punched out the center with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch, and added a Black Brad for the spider.

It's Good To Dream

More Razzleberry Lemonade DSP and Rich Razzleberry 1/2" Grosgrain Polka Dot Ribbon. The bottom half of this card is the DSP, and the top half is stamped with the new Razzle Dazzle stamp set. I just love the colors in this patterned paper, and the way it coordinates with this stamp. I used the Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry Classic Ink to randomly stamp the design on Whisper White Cardstock. Here's a simple tip when preparing several cards. Try stamping an entire sheet of cardstock, and then cutting them to size.

I stamped the sentiment, also from this set, in Melon Mambo, punched it out with the Word Window Punch, and then mounted it on Melon Mambo cardstock punched out with the new Modern Label Punch. I love the way these two punches work so well together. I then used Stampin' Dimensionals to mount the sentiment on the card.

I LOVE FREE STUFF!
From August 1–31, get a FREE package of Designer buttons—a $7.95 value—when you spend $35 on stamp sets in the Growing Up section of the catalog (pages 74-90) or my Online Store.

Friend to Friend

I am so bad! I had so much fun creating new samples at an all day crop that I attended this past Sunday. I had pre-ordered a couple of things from the up coming Holiday Mini Catalog, and worked on some projects to have ready when the selling period starts on September 1. I got so excited about the things that I made, and got so many more ideas, that yesterday, I ordered more! I can't share those projects with you just yet, but I can share with you another card I made.

This card uses the Pocket Silhouettes Stamp Set, and DSP Razzleberry Lemonade. One thing I ordered was some different Designer Series Papers. I realized that I only had two sets, so I needed more. I like this color combination for fall; Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry Cardstock. I stamped the flower and sentiment with Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink and used my Stampin' Sponges on the edges to coordinate with the look of the patterned paper. To finish it off, I added a strip of 1/2" Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon in Rich Razzleberry.
This card is a perfect example of how Stampin' Up! makes it so easy to create beautifully coordinated projects. All of the Designer Series Papers and Specialty Papers shown in the catalog and mini catalogs list the coordinating cardstock/classic ink. They take all of the guess work out of it! You pick the patterned paper you like, and they tell you which cardstock you need to go with it. Then just pick a coordinating ribbon or other embellishment and you're ready to create!

If you haven't received a New 2009/2010 Idea Book & Catalog, and would like one, just contact me and I will get one to you right away.

Enjoy Every Moment

This is one of the sets that I finally got around to mounting last week when catching up on things in my craft room; Enjoy Every Moment. I have had this set on my wish list for quite some time. During Sale-a-Bration, we have the opportunity to earn free stamp sets. This year, this is the stamp set that I chose as my FREE set. I have you, my customers to thank for that!

I used my Big Shot and the Texturz Plates Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1, Large Polka Dots, and the DSP Razzleberry Lemonade for the background. The word enjoy is one stamp and is stamped with Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink. Every moment is another stamp, and is stamped in Crushed Curry Classic Ink. I stamped a coordinating decorative circle, from the same set, punched it out and layered it over the "o", then glued a Half Pearl from the Pretties Kit on top.

My favorite part of this card is the butterfly. I used my Big Shot and Bigz Die Beautiful Butterflies to cut the butterfly from another pattern from DSP Razzleberry Lemonade. From the Pretties Kit again, I used a Clear Teardrop Pearl and a Half Pearl to create the head and body. Then I used the centers from two of the flowers to make the antenna. I used my Crystal Effects to glue the pearls because it dries clear. I wanted the wings to stand out so I used two Stampin' Dimensionals stacked on top of each other.

If you've been thinking about joining my team, and doing what I do, now is the time! You can join the Stampin' Up! family now through the end of August for only $85.00. Start earning your FREE stamps today. Contact me for more information.

You should be receiving your Holiday Mini catalogs very soon. I know you're going to Love it! I have been working on several samples to share with you, but I can't spoil the surprise. Starting September 1, be sure to check in to see some projects using some of the stamp sets available.

I hope your week has gotten off to a great start. Thanks for stopping by today!
