For You

We are down to the last 3 days of Sale-a-Bration! I can't believe how fast this time has gone by. Have you gotten all the Free stuff you wanted? I still have a couple of things I need, so I'll be placing my last personal Sale-a-Bration order tomorrow. Let me know if you need anything. I'd be happy to help you earn Free products too!

Today's card features a couple of the items you can get for Free during these last couple of days of Sale-a-Bration. The Punch Bunch Stamp Set, Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper Pack & Quick Accents Pack, and the adorable buttons from the Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon & Button Pack.

The Punch Bunch Set is great! Each of the 5 stamps coordinates with a punch. I've used the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch to punch out the stamped image and layered that on to the Old Olive 2-3/8" Scallop Circle. The Flower Strip and Scallop Border are from the Quick Accents Pack. These are self adhesive die cuts that are great for cards or scrapbooking. You get 2 12x12 sheets of die cuts with tons of designs, along with 9 sheets of double sided DSP in this pack. I've used one of the papers here. To add some texture, I ran the DSP through my Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I really love this technique! Lastly, I added the Ice Cream Parlor Buttons from the Ribbon & Button Pack, which coordinate with the DSP & Accent Pack.

There's also just 2 days left for my Big Shot Special. If you've been considering making that purchase, now's the time. You can earn lots of free Sale-a-Bration products, plus I am offering a Textured Impressions Embossing Folder of your choice ~ My gift to you! Click on the link above for all the details.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Lattice Ornament

In preparing for a class totally devoted to using the Big Shot, I was inspired one night, and created this Lattice Ornament.

This is the Lattice Bigz Die. I cut 3 of them with Real Red Cardstock, scored them down the middle and folded them in half. I used my 2-way Glue Pen to glue 2 halves together. That's when the inspiration really hit me. I grabbed my Pretties Kit and added the Clear, Round & Teardrop Beads. I used Crystal Effects to hold the beads in the middle in place on the metal pins. I had to use 3 pins, and cut them with the Craft & Rubber Scissors so the ends would be hidden under the cardstock. Then I glued the last Lattice in place.

Make Stampin' Up! your one-stop shop for all your holiday gift-giving needs. Be sure to check out the Gift Giving Guide where you can quickly and easily find gifts for kids, teens, neighbors, and more! Plus, get a FREE Décor Elements (up to a $16.95 value) when you spend $50 on products in the guide.

My Studio

I've been working on a project, and decided to show you what my room looks like when I'm in action. I like to think of myself as somewhat of a neat and organized person. But when it comes to stamping, or scrapping in this case, things get a little hectic. Tools, Cardstock, Designer Series Paper, Ribbon, & other various embellishments seem to take flight and land where they may. I don't know how many times I put down my scissors, and had to unbury them (or just use another pair) when I needed them again. I did manage however to complete a 20-page 6x6 Christmas Album.Okay...so this is when I was just getting started, so it doesn't look too messy...yet. Notice the two staples I must have while creating, Classic Coke & M&M's the best chocolate because it really does "melt in your mouth, not in your hands". If you look closely, toward the top center of the picture, and you can see the card I made using all new products, and the front page of the mini album I just finished.

My plan is to either put together kits with instructions for completion, or sell completed albums ready for pictures and journaling to be added.

I would like your opinion. Would you prefer a "kit" that you would assemble, or would you prefer to buy an album that is "picture/journaling" ready. Post your preference here, by next Thursday, January 15, and be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a stamp set.

Thanks for visiting today.

Happy Fall!

Can you believe it? Today is officially the first day of Fall. This morning actually feels that way too. A little bit cooler, and just a touch of fog...out here in the country any way. Well, in honor of the first day of Fall, I have a card to share. I didn't get to play this weekend like I had hoped, so I made this card this morning.

Don't these colors just make you feel all warm & cozy? This is Tangerine Tango, Old Olive & Chocolate Chip. These leaves are from one of the first sets that I ever purchased when I was first introduced to Stampin' Up! about 8 years ago. Lovely as a Tree. I used the Versa Mark pad and stamped the image 3 times, and then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. The image then takes on the green color of the cardstock. Then, I stamped again with Tangerine Tango. Happy Thanksgiving is Chocolate Chip. It didn't show up as well as I wanted, so I went over it with my Stampin' Write Marker. The printed paper is from Bella Rose. I used the Ticket Corner Punch to notch the corners of the embossed piece, and added a gold brad to each corner. When I was done, or when I thought I was done, I decided it just needed something else. So, I tied a bit of Linen Thread around the Old Olive ribbon. I tied it just tight enough to gather the ribbon just a little.

I have an announcement for all of you that are local. I am having a Garage Sale this Saturday, September 27. I have tons of scrapbooking supplies and rubber stamps. Not all stamps are Stampin' Up!, but they are great stamps non the less. I wound up cleaning in my craft room instead of playing. I have decided to weed out anything that is not Stampin' Up!, so I can totally devote my stamping & scrapbooking to SU. There are some things that I just can't part with yet, but if you have ever seen my room, you know I have plenty to share. I have a lot of non SU stamps priced at $1.00. Some I have bundled so you get 2 or 3 or 4 for $1.00. I do have many SU sets priced very reasonably. So, here is the fun part for you. I am giving anyone interested the chance to come to my house Friday afternoon to get first dibs. If you want to come to take advantage of this Great Stamp Sale, come on over at 4:00pm Friday afternoon. I have to work Friday morning, and I know you're anxious, but don't come early, because I won't be here.

Tell your friends...unless you just want to keep this a secret.

Email me personally at DeeLeeD@aol.com if you need directions to my house.

I hope to see you Friday...at 4:00pm

Have a Great week!

The Best Laid Plans...

I'm sure you all have heard the saying...The best laid plans...Well, yesterday, right as I got settled in to work, Casey called. For those of you who don't know, Casey is my almost 22 year old daughter, Makayla's mom. She is married, her husband is in the Army, and currently serving in Iraq. Everything is fine. We talked for almost an hour. She lives here in town, and we talk almost daily, and sometimes numerous times during the day. Usually she just says what she wants to say, and the conversations last only a couple of minutes. Yesterday, she was in quite the chatty mood, so needless to say, I listened...it was good!

I did however, manage to get a couple of samples done to show you.

These were done using my Big Shot, the Top Note, and Birds & Blooms dies. The Top Note die makes the perfect topper for the small and medium cello bags. Fold it in half as shown here for the small bags, or in half longwise for the medium bags. On the card, I just laid it flat to create the background for the flowers. The flowers are from the Birds & Blooms die. This is a set of 4 dies. Two different flower styles, leaves, and a bird...I'll show you him later...he's so cute! Click on the picture to see more detail.

I made this card with the new Say it with Scallops set. This is the new set that was designed exclusively to help raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. When you purchase this set, Stampin' Up! donates $2.00 to RMHC. This is also the set that UPS donated and gave to each Demonstrator that attended Convention. How awesome is that! RMHC is such a wonderful charity, and I personally want to help make a difference in the lives of the families who must stay at one of these facilities.

Notice that this set coordinates with the new Scallop Square Punch. I am offering a *special price on that Punch, with each Say it with Scallops set ordered. I am going to give you my discount on the Punch. This punch normally retails for $15.95. When you order the Say it with Scallops stamp set, you can get the coordinating Scallop Square Punch for only $12.76. That's a $3.00 savings for you, and $2.00 from each stamp set will go to RMHC. This is a win win situation for everyone! You save, while making a difference in someone's life. This special will run through December 31. Contact me if you are interested in taking advantage of this special offer.
*This is my personal special, and not offered through Stampin' Up!

This post is getting a little long, but I did want to tell you how I got the layers on the scallop square. The stamped image is the actual size of the punch. I then punched out the square 4 more times from the white and chocolate chip cardstock, and offset those squares behind the original one. I hope that makes sense. I will demo this at our After Convention Celebration, so you can actually see what I mean. Click on the photo for closer view.

Okay, so today I'm home alone, no car, house clean, laundry done, better not take the phone off the hook...so let's see what kind of fun things I can create!
