Spotlighting

Spotlighting is a technique that I haven't used in quite some time. It's really fun, and is a great way to, as the name says, Spotlight a certain area of an image. This is the Sweet Stems set again. I'm pretty limited to the new sets that I have right now. I hope you're not getting tired of them.

This technique is really simple too. Spotlighting works best with images that are outlined. First, stamp the outline image in Jet Black Stazon. Stamp it again, and color in a portion of the design and punch it out with a circle punch. Punch another circle from coordinating cardstock one size larger than the stamped image. Using Stampin' Dimensionals layer the Spotlighted image over the top of the first image.

Supplies: Sweet Stems, Think Happy Thoughts Stamp Sets. Ruby Red, Kiwi Kiss Classic Ink. Jet Black Stazon Ink. Ruby Red, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black, Whisper White Cardstock. 1 inch, 1-1/4 inch Circle Punch. Rose Red Grosgrain Ribbon
