Busy Day

Whew! I've had quite a busy day. Makayla spent the night again last night, and I got up this morning to breakfast all ready on the table. She had set the placemats on the table with a bowl, cup, and spoon for each of us. She had taken some domino magnets off the refrigerator and set them in each corner of the placemats. Her bowl was filled with Frosted Mini Wheats, one of her favorites, and mine was filled (and I do mean filled) with Cocoa Puffs. I'm not big on breakfast, and really not too cookoo for Cocoa Puffs. I think I ate too many when I was pregnant with Casey...I actually craved them. Anyway, I did insist on pouring the milk since it was a brand new carton, and commented that I didn't know if I would be able to eat my whole bowl of cereal. Makayla said, "That's okay Nana, just eat what you can." In other words, practice what you preach. So, not to disappoint her I began to eat. I finally put my spoon down and she asked if I was done, and I told her I just couldn't eat any more. She said,"You did a pretty good job, but I ate all of mine, did you like your surprise Nana? I just love you, and wanted to do something special for you." My heart just melted. What a beautiful way to start the day.

After our delicious breakfast, we played Pretty Pretty Princess and a Dora ABC game. Then we had to take Scott's truck to the Claims Adjuster to get the estimate for getting his truck fixed after the mailbox incident last weekend. That took about an hour, and keeping a 4 year old entertained in an Insurance office is not easy. I was ready for a Coke by then, and it was lunch time so I let her choose what she wanted. She picked Burger King. We had a little time after lunch before she had to go to school, and she said, "Nana, we could go to Hollywood". I was a little confused, and then realized that right behind us was Hobby Lobby. So we went to pick out a craft for the next time she comes over. I took her to school, and had to go to our Insurance Agency who is conveniently located almost next door to the church where she goes to pre-school. I had to fill out some more paper work concerning the accident. Casey lives nearby, so I stopped by to see her. She is getting ready to move, and her landlord has been showing the house a lot, so she has been putting some things in a storage unit so the house looks less cluttered. So, since I had the truck, we loaded it up and took the load to storage. Of course then, I had to take Casey home.

There's actually more, but I won't bore you any longer with the details. I plan on playing some tomorrow, so hopefully I can get a project done to share.

I hope you all had a fun Friday, and if I don't get to post tomorrow, have a great weekend!
