Cattails & Pumpkins

Don't you just love Fall! It is my favorite season. The warm earthy colors, the cooler sweater weather, campfires, roasting marshmallows, and cattails & pumpkins! These two cards reflect everything I love about this season. The pumpkin was created using the new Wide Oval Punch. Just punch out 3 ovals, sponge the edges, layer, and viola! You have a pumpkin. The stem was made with the Word Window Punch, and the leaf with the Small Oval Punch and the Crimper. The crimping and the edges of the leaf are sponged to give it great dimension.

Again, I was thrilled when we got to make this card at our Friday night stamping frenzy! We received the Inspired By Nature stamp set at Convention, and I just love it! And how clever to add the punch outs from the Horizontal Slot Punch to create the cattails. The grass was stamped in Always Artichoke, and the butterfly from the Dreams du Jour set, was stamped in, what else, but Pumpkin Pie. The Thank You stamp is from Upsy Daisy, one of the sets that is currently on sale through the end of the month. The Large Oval and Wide Oval Punches were used to layer the saying.
