6 Month Vacation--Over!

Good Morning!

Most of you know that I was the Store Manager of a local individually owned scrapbook store that closed this past March. I have not been "working" since then, and personally, enjoying every minute, but missing the income. In the past 6 months, I have turned in numerous applications to various places, and had not received any responses. I was beginning to think I was going to have to resort to waiting tables, or fast food for employment. Not a happy thought. Well, last week, I was running errands, and decided to give it another try, and turned in a couple more applications. I was actually called for an interview this time. I have accepted a part-time position at Pier 1, in the Clay Terrace Shopping Center, the same center that the scrapbook store was in. It does feel good to be employed again, and I'm sure my husband is breathing a sigh of relief. It is only part time, and I intend to keep it that way!

I do have a project to share with you. I attended our After Convention Meeting with our Stampin' Up Group this weekend. Several ladies travel from Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, and different parts of Indiana to attend this meeting. Nine of us got together Friday afternoon at the hotel where they were staying and stamped until 3:00am! Then got up and went to the meeting at 9:00 Saturday morning. We had such a good time sharing ideas and projects. The time went by so quickly, I had no idea what time it was until I got in the car to go home.

I had seen this card on another blog, and thought it was adorable! I hadn't had time to make it yet, so you can imagine my excitement when one of the ladies gave each of us one of these cards on Friday night. This is only 1 of the 20 different projects that we did that night.

I hope you're having an enjoyable weekend!
