Inspiration from a Friend

I was inspired by a friend to create this card. She had made basically this same card, but in blues & greens. It was beautiful, and inspired me to try it with the new Riding Hood Red, and Pirouette Pink. I also used the Designer Series Paper Bella Rose. I really like the way it turned out. The stamp set is the Upsy Daisy set that is on sale through the end of the month. I inked up the entire stamp with Pirouette Pink and since there is not a marker for the Riding Hood Red, I used the Ruby Red marker and just added color to the tips of the flowers. I love this technique for adding multiple colors to flowers. It works extremely well with the solid image of this stamp, and gives it a watercolor look. The ribbon is the Riding Hood Red Taffeta.

You can find more information about the stamps that are on sale by clicking on Never Before Seen Stamps/Savings on the sidebar. And, remember, if you are interested in ordering Stampin' Up! products, you can contact me, or visit my website and order online any time. The first three people to order online through my website will receive an assortment of some of the new ribbons.

Just a quick update on Scott. (see post on Sept. 14) He did decide to go get x-rays of his neck and shoulders. He was pretty sore yesterday...it always takes a couple of days after an accident to really feel it. The doctor gave him some muscle relaxers, and asked him if he wanted to take a couple of day off work, but of course, being the work-aholic that he is, he said no. We haven't heard anything from the Police, or the other guys insurance company yet. We did however, decide to contact our attorney just to be safe, since the accident involved a drunk driver.

Thanks for checking in today!
